The exes, whose surprise split in January 2012 was initially a bitter one, appeared to be on good terms while out with their four children over the weekend. So good, in fact, that they warmly embraced and even kissed hello.
The photos — the first of them together since their marriage ended — were taken Saturday in Malibu, California, where they celebrated their youngest daughter Lou's fourth birthday. The "Project Runway" host, 40, was seen putting her hands on the "Kiss From a Rose" singer's shoulder and smooching him on both cheeks. And there appeared to be no drama whatsoever between the famous parents, with Klum smiling in most of the shots.
The kisses served as their goodbye after spending family time together at Lou's fairy princess party. Their three older children — Leni, 9; Henry, 8; and Johan, 6 — were there as well.
Who wasn't with them? Klum's bodyguard boyfriend, Martin Kristen, whom she began dating since soon after she filed for divorce. (Seal memorably fumed about Klum's hookup following their split, awkwardly saying that he wished she didn't "fornicate with the help.") However, the "America's Got Talent" judge was photographed with Kristen the next day at Lou's soccer game. They were openly affectionate, walking off arm in arm.

When Klum and Seal, 50, were together (their divorce is still being finalized), they were thought to be one of the more stable couples in Hollywood. After marrying in 2005, they renewed their wedding vows each year, and they dazzled on the red carpet at her annual Halloween bash.

However, in early 2012, they announced that "after much soul-searching" they were separating. Klum, who has been having her "Seal" tattoo removed, filed for divorce in April of that year, and was linked to Kristen soon after, officially confirming that she was dating him that September.
When asked whether she plans to remarry, Klum (who was previously wed to celeb hairstylist Ric Pipino) told Marie Claire earlier this year, "I don’t think so. No. No. I wanted to keep the memory of our wedding alive every year — that's why I thought it would be fun to get married over and over. But now I don't think it's that important. I'm not angry about anything, but I don't think I will.
"Maybe if I'm with someone for 15 or 20 years, and we do it in our old age as a fun thing to do," she added. "But I don't have the urgency anymore."
Seems like her priority is her kids — and getting along with their dad.
