August 2 promises to be a freaky Friday, but not in the same family-friendly way as Lindsay Lohan's 2003 Disney movie.
Lohan's latest flick, "The Canyons," which will be released in theaters, on pay-per-view cable, and on digital outlets the first weekend in August, promises to be sexy and racy in more of an R-rated kind of way.
After all, the 27-year-old co-stars alongside porn star James Deen, and the film is directed by the writer/director of "American Gigolo" and written by "American Psycho's" Bret Easton Ellis.
Not surprisingly, judging by the movie's new trailer, moviegoers can also expect that it's not likely to become Lohan's most award-winning film. She plays Tara, a young woman who's affair with an actor is discovered by her boyfriend Christian (Deen), prompting a "violent, sexually-charged tour through the dark side of human nature."
Mark your calendars.
