The "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum is healing after undergoing a radical hysterectomy for her endometrial cancer and an alleged domestic violence incident involving her now ex-boyfriend Dimitri Charalambopoulos. The former model spoke about both topics in an interview on Thursday's "Dr Oz Show" … while also managing to work in a dig about her ex-husband, Kelsey Grammer.
"It's been four weeks today — a month ago," the former model told Dr. Oz. "I'm feeling great. I have to say once in a while I'll get a little pain here and there, but I'm walking around. I was able to go trick-or-treating with my kids and my life is moving forward. I'm feeling very well."
When she appeared on the Bravo series, Camille shared her mother's brave battle with ovarian and bladder cancer. The 45-year-old was shaken up to then receive her own diagnosis of early stage endometrial cancer, which begins in the lining of the uterus. She underwent surgery to have the organ removed on Oct. 11.
"My heart sank," she said about being told she had cancer. "You think about your children: Am I gonna make it? I want to be alive for them."
The reality TV star also managed to diss her famous ex — with whom she has been publicly squabbling since he left her for his current wife, Kayte, in 2010 — in the interview. They have two children: a daughter Mason, 12, and son Jude, 9.
"My ex-husband hasn't seen the kids since July, so I'm mom. I'm there," she said. "So I really needed to be here for them."
However, when omg! reached out to a rep for the "Boss" actor, he said Camille "neglected to say that Kelsey was filming out of the country" during the time period, adding, "Also, Kelsey does not wish to be drawn into commenting on their personal life in a public forum."
Camille also opened up about her recent domestic dispute with Charalambopoulos. While recovering from her surgery in a Houston hotel room, they became involved in an argument and she alleged that he attacked her, hitting her in the head and pulling out her hair. Charalambopoulos, the 36-year-old fitness trainer she has been dating since 2011, denied the incident, but Camille received a restraining order against him after providing photographs and a written account of what she claims occurred.
"Oh, it was just terrible because right after any kind of procedure, you want to be surrounded by love. You need good healing vibes and positive energy around you," she said about the drama with her now ex-boyfriend. "I was physically abused and assaulted by this person and it was very traumatizing. But now I'm working with a therapist and I'm going to be okay. I'm doing well."
May the worst be behind her allowing her to move on.
