Cameron Diaz on Infidelity: 'Everyone Will Be Cheated On'

In the upcoming flick, "The Other Woman," Cameron Diaz plays the mistress to Leslie Mann's onscreen husband. Turns out, Cameron actually believes that film's subject, infidelity, is prevalent in real life. The actress told U.K.'s OK! magazine, "Everybody has been cheated on. Everyone will be cheated on. I can't fix that, I don't know how, I don't have any judgment on anybody, I don't know how to fix the problem."

Cameron isn't the only leading lady in Hollywood who believes that couples cannot be monogamous.  Scarlett Johansson, engaged to Romain Dauriac and expecting a baby, has a similar view. The actress told W magazine in 2008, "I've been battered for saying that I don't believe humans are monogamous by nature."

Ethan Hawke is another one of Tinseltown's stars who doesn't believe in being with only one person. The actor's marriage to Uma Thurman ended in 2004 amid accusations of infidelity. Hawke recently revealed his feelings about the topic to clothing retailer Mr Porter.

"People have such a childish view of monogamy and fidelity," Ethan said. "'He's cheated so he's bad, she's cheated so she's bad,' as opposed to a recognition that our species is not monogamous. To act all indignant, that your world has been rocked because your lover wasn't faithful to you, is a little bit like acting rocked that your hair went gray."

Hugh Hefner's lack of commitment to one lady may not come as a surprise to many, but the founder of Playboy Enterprises does see the benefit of being in a committed relationship. He told E! back in 2009, "It's very nice for raising kids, but the notion that monogamy lasts forever is a wish!"

Not everyone in Hollywood supports infidelity. Even though legendary actress Goldie Hawn isn't married and has been with Kurt Russell for 31 years, she still believes in monogamy.  She opened up about her feeling on "The View" in 2007, "I think that there's a great promise to believe you can be with one person only for the rest of your life."

Another famous celeb who has spoken out about her commitment to her partner is Claire Danes. The "Homeland" star has been married since 2009 and revealed to BlackBook that same year her opinion on the topic. "We just can't shake monogamy. It definitely demands a kind of rigor and discipline and selflessness. But it's also fun."

Surprisingly, rock star Steven Tyler has also revealed his dedication to a relationship, even though his 2011 engagement to Erin Brady has been called off. In 2012, the Aerosmith rocker spoke to Oprah about his image.

"I may come off as a sexual animal, and I definitely am on stage, 'cause trust me, I feel it myself. But I'm not really, really that. I'll sing about it, I put it out there, but I'm not."
