That is, until she turned around...

The Oscar winner rocked a gorgeous, purple dress by Victoria Beckham and paired it with some killer, orange-strapped heels by Michael Kors. In fact, the shoes were so great, we'd probably be talking about them even if they didn't still have the price tags on the soles. Oops!
Of course, this is especially surprising given how meticulously put-together we typically see the actress, whether it's on a red carpet or while she's telling us how to dress just like her (for way more than we can afford) in a Goop newsletter.
Still, when an A-lister like Gwynnie brings her entire family – including her husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and kids, Apple and Moses – to an event honoring one of her business ventures (Paltrow and Anderson have been business partners for years), we can forgive just about anything.
The family moved through a crowd that included Molly Sims, Stacy Keibler, Tobey Maguire's wife Jen Meyer, Kim Kardashian, and "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy. Martin led his wife of nearly 10 years around the room by the small of her back, keeping an eye on the kids as they ran around greeting family friends and, at one point, danced to some old school R&B piping through.

We spoke with Paltrow about the transformative effect Anderson's had on her body through the years, dating back to the first "Iron Man" film, which hit theaters in 2008.
"I used to yo-yo a lot, but the gap has closed over the past few years. It's great because the recovery time isn't as severe," Paltrow told omg! of using Anderson's workout method.
We'll say! Paltrow recently lit up the internet in a teaser for "Iron Man 3" that showed her kicking butt in just a bra.
"Well, clearly, when I know I'm going to be working for a few days with no shirt on, I have to be extra good," she winked. "But the training has been the same. [Tracy] has completely changed my body."

As for that old school R&B music her kids were dancing to, we can't say we're surprised. The 40-year-old author of a new cookbook -- "It's All Good: Delicious, Easy Recipes That Will Make You Look Good and Feel Great" -- told the Evening Standard magazine that when her husband isn't home, she likes to turn up the hip-hop.
"I'm like a bad mutha rapping along to every word as I cook," she confessed.
Looking at that bod, we'd she she's one bad mutha, indeed.
