Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough Welcomes Second Son
It’s another boy for a Backstreet Boy!
Singer Howie Dorough and wife Leigh have confirmed the birth of their second son, Holden John, who arrived on Saturday, weighing in at 6 lbs., 15 oz. and measuring 20 inches long. The news was first reported by People.
“My beautiful wife Leigh and I are so proud to welcome our son to the world,” 39-year-old Dorough told the magazine of the little guy, who showed up three days ahead of schedule. “Leigh is such an incredible woman and mother and our son is so excited to have a baby brother,” the proud dad continued. “I feel so lucky to have such an amazing family.”
The couple are already parents to 3-and-a-half year-old son James Hoke. They first met in 2000 when Leigh was hired to run the band’s website and, after a seven-year courtship, wed in Dorough’s home state of Florida, where they now reside. As for future careers, their boys definitely have showbiz in their blood. Leigh, a New Jersey native, previously worked in the film industry and served as production executive on the 2007 Emma Roberts flick “Nancy Drew, while her older sister, Stacy O’Neil, is a talent manager who represents actors including Amy Adams, Vin Diesel, and Rachel Weisz.
Then again, Leigh and Howie just have to have a couple more sons and they’ll have the world’s next boy band under one roof!
