Ashley Benson and her "Pretty Little Liars" stars are beauties, but they're not flawless.

The 23-year-old took to Instagram Wednesday night to blast a promo image from her ABC Family series that was retouched to such a degree that she thinks it looks fake.

"Saw this floating around," the blonde wrote. "Hope it's not the [official] poster. Our faces in this were from 4 years ago ... and we all look ridiculous. Way too much photo shop. We all have flaws. No one looks like this. It's not attractive."

We can't say we disagree. The photo, which is the official poster, shows them completely made up with not a hair out of place. But they're airbrushed so severely they almost look fake — no pores, no lines, no … real signs of life. Since when was Spencer (Troian Bellisario)'s hair that big?! Why does Emily (Shay Mitchell) look like a cat? And aren't they beautiful already?

That was Bellisario's point. "Wow @ashbenzo I couldn't agree more," she wrote on Twitter Thursday. "Very cool concept as always. But aren't we attractive enough…"

Benson posted a follow-up message soon after her original message.

"Love you guys so much," she wrote. "The constant support and love I get from all of you makes me so happy. … Remember, you are ALL beautiful. Please don't ever try and look like the people you see in magazines or posters because it's fake. It only causes an unhealthy mind about how you see yourself. You are perfect the way you are."

Commenters are with Ashley on the issue as well. Noemissmethurst replied, "It looks like plastic." And tolstoytotinkerbell suggested it was an ongoing problem, writing, "Never liked the PLL ads! They just don't represent the show or the girls accurately." Her follower graphicsilence noted, "Your sentiments are the same as all the fans of PLL. Thanks for calling the powers that be out on this on. More reasons you are amazing."

A rep for the show had no comment about Benson's post about the promo. However, negative or positive, it's still good press for the teen drama, which is gearing up for its winter premiere on Jan. 7.

What do you think of the poster: Too much airbrush? So used to seeing retouching that it doesn't bother you? Weigh in below.
