13 Things We Learned From Bruce Jenner's Diane Sawyer Interview, Plus One Thing We Already Kinda KnewElizabeth Durand Streisand at Yahoo Celebrity 19 hrs ago
Sawyer met with Jenner at his California home. The former Olympian was nervous and emotional at first, stopping for tissues just a few minutes into their chat. But as soon as he began to really open up, the nerves melted away and Jenner hit his stride. The result was a special that showed the audience that just because a man has been on a hit reality TV show for eight years doesn't mean we know much about him at all. So, what did this two hours of television teach us that 500-plus episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians didn't?
1. He considers himself a woman.
Asked if he considered himself a woman, Jenner didn't miss a beat. "Yes, for all intents and purposes, I am a woman," he began. "People look at me differently. They see me as a macho male, but my heart and my soul and everything that I do in life — it is part of me, that female side is part of me, that's who I am. I was genetically born that way."
2. He isn't gay (as far as he knows).
3. He considered suicide.
4. He started taking hormones in the 1980s, but stopped after meeting Kris Jenner.
6. Kim, Kylie, and Kendall all caught him dressed as a woman at one point.

Don't mess with RDJ.
As he continued his press tour to promote The Avengers: Age of Ultron on Friday, Robert Downey Jr. took a jab at reporter Krishnan Guru-Murthy, of Britain's Channel 4 News, who miffed the actor earlier in the week. And all he had to do was post a simple photo: an image of himself with ABC journalist Diane Sawyer, who happened to be his fellow guest on Live With Kelly and Michael.
In case you missed it, Downey walked out of an interview with Guru-Murthy on Wednesday after the reporter wouldn't stop asking about awkward things from Downey's past, such as how his time in prison affected his political views and how drugs and alcohol influenced his relationship with his father. Kinda heavy subjects for a chat that was supposed to be about a comic book movie!
As Downey pulled off his mic, he quipped, "You seem OK, it's just getting a little Diane Sawyer in here."

For many Hollywood stars, dating another actor just fits. For Scarlett Johansson, she lived and learned post-Ryan Reynolds that wasn't going to work for her.
“Acting is a very strange world to be co-existing in. It’s very volatile. There’s always going to be the more successful person,” she told Parade when discussing how fame can be a challenge in a relationship when two actors are involved. “It’s related to rejection. Because actors, if they’re not having success, connect it directly to unpopularity — to the fact that nobody wants them. It’s not necessarily true. I’m constantly rejected."
Johansson and Reynolds split in 2010 after nearly two years of marriage, but Ryan clearly hasn't found the same statement to be true in his personal life. He went on to wed his Green Lantern co-star Blake Lively in 2012.
Johansson found that in Romain Dauriac. She married the French journalist in a hush-hush ceremony in Montana last October.

"Yes, we will be all watching as a family tonight," Kim Kardashian told E! when asked about her viewing plans. "That is all I am going to say about it now."
According to Us Weekly, Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, Kendall, Kylie (who posted a sweet "daddy throwback" today), Kanye West, and Scott Disick will join Bruce to watch the 20/20 special. It's unclear whether Rob or Kris will be present, but we're guessing it's an RSVP no for the latter.
"I'm excited that everyone is hearing what Bruce has to say," Kim also told Access Hollywood , while noting to Variety that she sees Bruce "all the time."
" Really good?" Kim asked.

For any major televised event, there are a handful of brands eager to piggyback on the national attention through everything from Super Bowl ads to wannabe-viral videos about how to dress like you're on the Oscars red carpet. Occasionally, overzealous brands miss the world's social cues and try to ride the wave of a far more serious, branding-inappropriate event, to disastrous results: AT&T promoted its cell service as the best way to capture a photo of Ground Zero, while Valentino had to apologize after sending out a press release saying it was "pleased to announce" that Amy Adams carried one of its handbags to Philip Seymour Hoffman's funeral. Now there's a new addition to this ignominious list: an exclamation-point riddled press release we received promoting drinks to enjoy while watching Bruce Jenner's highly anticipated interview with Diane Sawyer.

Russell Crowe hasn't given up on his marriage.
The Oscar-winning actor and his wife, Danielle Spencer, separated more than two years ago, but they've yet to divorce. In fact, they won't ever make their split permanent if the Gladiator star has his way.
Crowe told CBS This Morning in an interview Friday that separating from Spencer, his wife of nine years, made him feel unbalanced. The Australian actors met on the set of a 1990 movie, The Crossing , in which both of them starred. They had an on-again, off-again relationship for years and became engaged in 2002. Eventually, they welcomed sons Charles, 11, and Tennyson, 8.
"I was so proud to wear that ring, you know," Crowe said. "And every now and then, I'll do that on my finger, it's not there anymore. So, to this day, everything that I do is still connected to that, you know. And, you know, we haven't done the deal yet. So, you never know."
Crowe's "a very persistent person," he told Charlie Rose. "I didn't get married to get divorced."
Never say never.
There's a shero... if you look inside your heart . No? Not quite? Well, Mattel may not be rewriting Mariah Carey's lyrics (nor should the brand do so; it's a classic power ballad), but the toy company is metaphorically rewriting the script with their Sheroes series at the Variety Power of Women Luncheon and in conjunction with National Shero Day, which will be celebrated on Monday, April 27. To be clear, a "shero" is just what you think it is — a lady hero — because heroism knows no gender.
According to a press release featured on Business Wire, Mattel's very own Barbie has produced six "Shero" Barbies, honoring women for their accomplishments.
The women include Shameless actress Emmy Rossum, Selma director Ava DuVernay, Broadway sprite Kristin Chenoweth, country star Trisha Yearwood, Lucky editor-in-chief Eva Chen, and five-year-old fashion designer Sydney "Mayhem" Keiser. All of these women have achieved substantial success in their respective fields.

What "break"? Miley Cyrus seems to be doing just fine, thank you very much.
Now that her split from Patrick Schwarzenegger is official, the "Wrecking Ball" singer can lock lips with whomever she wants. Cyrus, 22, was photographed smooching two different people at a party on Thursday night.
"L O V E @mileycyrus," fashion photographers Mert & Marcus captioned the above shot on Instagram. Not sure who the mystery man is, but Miley was in no mood to be gender choosey.
"KISS night... @mileycyrus @frankierayder #secretparty #la #mertandmarcus," they posted alongside a shot of Miley cozying up to gal-pal Frankie Rayder.
News that Cyrus and Schwarzenegger were taking "a break" hit this week, but it appears that their relationship status is more permanent.
Miley is clearly very torn up about it.
Joe Manganiello may not be on the market anymore, but that just means his home is.
As he prepares for his weddingto Sofia Vergara, Mr. Magic Mike XXL is giving up a huge piece of his single life: his bachelor pad. The star has listed the Hollywood Hills house, built in 1963, for $1.995 million The L.A. Times reports.
Still, Joe's crib is no shack. The True Blood star purchased the 2,500 square-foot, 4-bedroom, 3-bath property for $1.8 million in 2013, and it's packed with amenities from a fire pt to a pool. In fact, Redfin's listing describes the dwelling as "modern oasis." Take a look at some of the highlights:
A gorgeous bathroom that looks like a hotel's bathroom? Absolutely.
The hotly anticipated day has arrived — the day of ABC's Bruce Jenner: The Interview .
Tonight, after a few brief and not particularly revealing clips have whet the appetites of those hungry for the real story, the public will get to see Diane Sawyer sit down with Bruce Jenner and let him do the talking about his much-speculated transition. And judging by a new clip — albeit a brief one — which surfaced on Good Morning America , we can see that Sawyer, who ascertains Jenner's story is a "family love story," will definitely let the 65-year-old Olympic champion say what he needs to say in order to get his personal story across.
"What's the one question you would ask you?" she asks.
Bruce Jenner: The Interview airs tonight at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
