Although this weekend is Mother's Day, Time turned the tables and asked influential moms to write open letters to their kids. Tina Knowles Lawson, who wed Richard Lawson last month, just published hers and — warning — it might make you teary.
Tina addresses her letter to daughters Beyoncé and Solange, longtime family friend Kelly Rowland, and her niece Angie.
"I gave birth to two of you, but I have four incredible daughters. Writing this brought to mind all the ways you guys have been such a blessing to me," she begins. "When I’m feeling sad or not-so-cute or maybe a little sorry for myself, and you all include me in your group chat and tell me how hot I still look or how cool I am. Maybe you send me a crazy YouTube video. What actually works best is a cute photo of my grandchildren."
The whole thing is worth a read. Check it out here.

Gender doesn't matter much to Miley Cyrus.
The 22-year-old activist just launched the Happy Hippie Foundation to help homeless and LGBT youth, and in an interview with the AP explained it's because she wants all young people to be themselves.
Cyrus revealed that not all of her past relationships were "straight or heterosexual" ones, but declined to go into specifics. The "Wrecking Ball" singer most recently dated Patrick Schwarzenegger, but ended that relationship last month. She was also engaged to Liam Hemsworth before splitting in 2013 and had a high-profile romance when she was young with Nick Jonas.
"The position I'm in, I feel like I've got a lot of power," she continued. "When you have all eyes on you, what are you saying? And that's what I had to ask myself a lot… It's like, I know you're going to look at me more if my [breasts] are out, so look at me. And then I'm going to tell you about my foundation for an hour and totally hustle you."

Soon, Brad Pitt won't be able to toss a beer over the balcony to his neighbors in New Orleans's famous French Quarter — as he did last year with visitor Matthew McConaughey. The actor and his wife, Angelina Jolie, have put their Big Easy residence on the real estate market for $6.5 million, according to Variety.
The renovated three-story abode built in the 1830s has five bedrooms and three-and-a half bathrooms in the main house. A separate guest house features one bedroom and and one-and-a-half bathrooms. Altogether, the property includes 7,645 square feet.

The last thing anyone wants to hear is the sentence, "You have cancer." And even farther down the list is hearing "you have cancer" for a second time.
Real Houewives of New Jersey 's Amber Marchese confirms her breast cancer has returned, five years after she was initially declared cancer-free.
"I was just sick to my stomach," Marchese tells People of the moment she learned she'd be fighting the disease a second time. "I was thinking, 'This is definitely it. I'm going to die.'"
Marchese was first diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer in 2009. On the most recent season of Real Housewives of New Jersey , Marchese, 37, had a brief scare when a blood test for a cancer screening came back inconclusive. (Cancer patients in remission are required to receive several screenings a year for a certain number of years, depending on their type of cancer.) While that test was ultimately found to be negative, Marchese learned last month that she does have a new malignant tumor "right in the middle of where the other two were."

Dolls, stop disfiguring yourselves and put down that lip liner. You can't get Kylie Jenner's pout au naturel after all. Anyone surprised?
After months and months and months of speculation, the 17-year-old reality star has finally admitted to getting lip fillers. You can hear Kylie's confession in a preview clip for Sunday's episode Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
"I have temporary lip fillers, it's just an insecurity of mine and it's what I wanted to do," she says. "I'm just not ready to talk to reporters about my lips yet because everyone always picks us apart."
Jenner continues, "I want to admit to the lips, but people are so quick to judge me on everything, so I might have tiptoed around the truth, but I didn't lie."
these plastic surgery rumors hurt my feelings to be honest and are kinda insulting

Well, that didn't take too long. It's been a little over a month since Zayn Malik officially left One Direction, and despite the band wishing him the best, it seems there are some hard feelings. Malik, 22, shared a heavily filtered photo of himself hanging out with record producer Naughty Boy, prompting former bandmate Louis Tomlinson to deliver some not so subtle shade at them both.
Remember when you were 12 and you used to think those Mac filters for your pictures were cool haha ! Some people still do HA!
Oh, but there's more:
@NaughtyBoyMusic Jesus forgot you were such an in demand producer .... How does it feel to be riding on the back of someone else's career ?
Naughty Boy didn't let that one go:
@Louis_Tomlinson Yeah how does it feel mate? You've been doing that for the last five years... I've got Emeli Sande and Sam smith on my CV 💪
Then it was back to Louis:
And then Zayn jumped in. Naturally, he caught wind of the remarks and fired back:
Your move, Zayn.

It looks like things are continuing to heat up between Sean Penn and Charlize Theron, as the Los Angeles Times reports Penn has put his Malibu bachelor pad on the market. While Penn presumably leaves his bachelor days behind him, you can begin yours, provided you can throw down the $6.55 million required to purchase the abode. The digs were $3.8 million when Penn swept up the property in 2009.
Per the pad's real estate listing, the house comes fully equipped with a whopping 1.42 acres, three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and of course, the requisite California pool. And those bedrooms and bathrooms? That's just the main house; there's a guest house on the premises, so you can invite friends over to party and then keep them well within an (really long) arm's length.
But even if Variety disapproves of the actor's taste, that doesn't mean you have to as well. Perhaps this is your style!
And lest we forget, the kitchen:

In March, Rita Wilson was diagnosed with breast cancer. In April, she underwent a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. In May, Rita Wilson was back on Broadway. *Mic drop.*
After Wilson's diagnosis, the 58-year-old announced that she'd be taking a short leave of absence from Fish in the Dark , in which she was starring opposite Larry David. As it turns out, "short" was the operative word there. On Tuesday night, Mrs. Tom Hanks made her return to the Great White Way.
.@FishInTheDark So happy to be back on Bway with my theater family tonight!
Wilson, who went public about her battle with cancer a week after her mastectomy in April, tweeted thanks for the outpouring of support as she recuperated.
"I am overwhelmed with gratitude by your prayers and good wishes and the kindness you're sending," she wrote. "Thank you. Thank you."

During Monday night's Met Gala, nearly every A-lister was on the red carpet, adorned in everything from a fashion-battle-worthy headpiece to a dress with amassive yellow train. But while celebs aplenty strutted down the red carpet, breaking the no-selfie rulewhile awaiting their inevitable memes to be made, one green juice-swilling red carpet staple was missing: Gwyneth Paltrow. So where was she?
It's clear Gwyn nixed the Gala to hang out with her daughter! Hey, it was a school night, after all.

Rather than chocolates or flowers or some mass-produced card from CVS, Ashton Kutcher opted for a more personal gift this Mother's Day: renovating the basement of her home in Iowa. And, hell, if the remodel also garners a little publicity for one of Kutcher's investments, it's just a happy coincidence. There ain't nothing wrong with a little hustle.
"It's my way of saying thank you to my mom," Kutcher says of the remodel, which he organized using Houzz, a home remodel startup website for which he — you guessed it —is an investor. "My mom has been the greatest influence in my life."
Kutcher says that he and his stepfather Mark built the Homestead, Iowa, home when he was 13 years old, and his parents still live there today. The main goal of the renovation is to turn the basement into a much warmer space. "If I could make this space special and make it a space for my mom ... and just really make it beautiful for her, that would be fulfilling," he explains.
