  • A Year After Her Death, Joan Rivers's Impact Is All Around Us

Robert Kessler at Yahoo Celebrity 12 hrs ago

It has been just one year since Joan Rivers passed. On the one hand, she was 81 years old. But on the other, this was Joan Rivers , the woman who worked 300 gigs a year, who was always hustling, who seemed like she'd be playing comedy clubs long after all of the rest of us passed. In a dystopian future, it would just be Joan Rivers spitting jokes to an audience of cockroaches and whatever other detrius survived a nuclear apocalypse.

So frequently when an entertainer dies unexpectedly, she leaves behind unreleased work. And the work made public after that loss seems therepeutic; at least there are new songs, new films, new jokes to get us through. But that was not the style of Joan Rivers, a woman who left everything on the floor. While we'll likely not find an unreleased comedy album, Rivers's impact has been everywhere in the past year. Her spirit lives on in what has been, by any standard, a banner year for the female comics for whom she opened the door.

Even Joan, who repeatedly insisted that she didn't want to be known as a female comic, but rather just a comic, must be smiling somewhere at what she has wrought.

  • Caitlyn Jenner Appears in First TV Interview: 6 Things We Learned From Her 'Ellen' Appearance

Suzy Byrne at Yahoo Celebrity 15 hrs ago

What a difference a few months make! The Ellen DeGeneres Show returns from its summer hiatus and its first guest is none other than Caitlyn Jenner in her first TV interview since sitting down with Diane Sawyer in April.

The world first met Caitlyn in the beginning of the summer, on June 1, when her Vanity Fair cover made headlines. Since then, we've seen her here, there, and everywhere, including on her docuseries I Am Cait . But this is her first sit-down and she chats with Ellen, whose own coming out was groundbreaking, about dating (with Candis Cayne?), whether she misses Bruce, and how her stance on marriage equality has changed. Here are the highlights.

    2. Is her constant companion Candis Cayne a potential love interest? "Actually Candis is backstage," the brunette admitted of the trans actress, "but that’s a whole other deal. Candis is great. We really have a lot a fun. She’s a beautiful woman."

    3. She doesn't miss Bruce. "Absolutely, no," Kris Jenner's ex replied. "Because as a woman I can do all this fun stuff anyway. I can still play golf. I can still go race cars."

  • A History of Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher's PDA at Sporting Events

Suzy Byrne at Yahoo Celebrity 17 hrs ago

The newlyweds/sports nuts/kiss cam regulars were at it again Tuesday when they shared a smooch to celebrate a Los Angeles Dodgers home run against the San Francisco Giants. The couple happily embraced amid a sea of fans in primo seats behind home plate.

For as much as they hate putting their romance on display in Hollywood — they have yet to appear together on the red carpet — sporting events seem to be their happy place. It's where they can kick back and kiss it up. Take a look…

December 2012: Together for about eight months, they were spotted at their first sporting event together — a Chicago Bears game in Chi-Town. While they weren't worried about being seen together — after all, they were on the field — they kept a respectable distance between each other, almost as if a high school dance chaperone was holding a ruler between them back.

February 2013: After nearly a year together, they were no longer playing coy, so it was courtside seats at a Los Angeles Lakers game. While they were OK with staring into each other's eyes, they only went so far as to hold fingers.

Aug. 7 and 13, 2013: Ashton, 37, attends the NYC and L.A. premieres of Jobs solo.

  • One Year After Joan Rivers's Death, Melissa Is Still 'Amazed by the Outpouring of Love'

    Yahoo Celebrity 18 hrs ago

One year ago, on September 4, 2014, Joan Rivers passed away, having spent a week in a medically induced coma after she stopped breathing during a routine endoscopy. The past 365 days have been a blur of he saids, she saids, medical malpractice suits, and we won't even venture to mention the disaster that is E!'s Fashion Police without its anchor.

But on the one year anniversary of that loss, Joan's daughter Melissa wrote a few words on Instagram to mark the anniversary and thank Joan's fans for their continued love.

"Today marks one year since my mother passed," she wrote on her mother's account. "This was the year of firsts: first holidays, first birthdays, first everythings without mom, without grandma. While it's been difficult, I've been amazed by the outpouring of love and overwhelming kindness we've received from family, friends, and people whose lives were touched by the woman they knew as Joan — a woman we all miss so very much."

Melissa Rivers has filed a malpractice suit against Yorkville Endoscopy, where the procedure took place.

  • Happy Birthday to Bey and Her Ever-Changing Hairstyles

Elizabeth Durand Streisand at Yahoo Celebrity 1 day ago

Beyoncé  wasn't built in a day, but she has proven that a lady's hair can completely transform pretty much overnight. So on Sept. 4, her 34th birthday, we're taking a moment to honor the queen bee for being a coif chameleon.

From the wide headbands of the early aughts to the sky-high ponytail of the 2015 Met Ball, the "Drunk in Love" singer looks good in just about any style she tries out (except for those unfortunate baby bangs she sported in October 2014). And don't even get us started on the fact that Bey can pull off every shade ranging from pale blonde to dark brunette.

Happy birthday, Bey: Master of the Universe… and of the makeover.

  • Ali Fedotowsky Shows Off Engagement Ring After Screaming 'Yes' to Kevin Manno's Proposal

Suzy Byrne at Yahoo Celebrity 1 day ago

"9.2.15," the 30-year-old former E! News personality posted on Instagram Thursday with a diamond ring emoji and a heart. "#MrsManno@kevinmanno."

The accompanying photo showed Fedotowsky holding up her new bling as a dapper Manno, 32, stood next to her. There was a balloon and roses — yes, roses — in the background of the photo. Of all the types of flowers in the world that's what The Bacherlotte Season 6 gal is given.

The blonde shared additional details on her blog, including the fact that she didn't say yes, she yelled it.

"So excited to share that Kevin asked me to be his wife and I said YES!!! No actually, I screamed yes. Ha!" the Massachusetts native wrote. "He proposed yesterday and we had the most beautiful, magical day with our closest friends and can't wait to celebrate with family back home. Love, the future Mrs. Manno."

  • Soon You Can Buy Furniture Designed by Lenny Kravitz

Robert Kessler at Yahoo Celebrity 1 day ago

If you're looking to spruce up your living room and have been thinking to yourself, I wonder what Lenny Kravitz would do with this space , you're in luck. CB2 has partnered with Kravitz's design firm, Kravitz Designs, for a line of furniture which is inspired, according to the star, by "my personal style and the things that have inspired me throughout my travels."

More specifically, the line is inspired by '70s New York club culture and the '70s California music scene. (The collection itself hasn't been unveiled yet, but here's a picture of Fleetwood Mac recording Rumours  in 1976 and here's one of Ryan Phillippe in 54 .) According to CB2, the line will include "lighting, wall décor, rugs, pillows and furniture."

It's not Kravitz's first foray into design; he's run Kravitz Design since 2003. The company has done condos, recording studios, and, most notably, the set for The Queen Latifah Show .

  • Kris and Caitlyn Jenner Prepare for Confrontation in New 'I Am Cait' Promo

Robert Kessler at Yahoo Celebrity 1 day ago

Things look good between former couple Kris and Caitlyn Jenner now, but that was not always the case. And in a new promo for the next episode of I Am Cait , the two prepare to go head-to-head.

"I don't know if we'll resolve anything or whatever, but, you know, I just probably should get some things off my chest, and probably her too," Caitlyn says, fidgeting nervously, in the clip.

In previous episodes of I Am Cait , both Kim and Khloé Kardashian have confronted Caitlyn over the Vanity Fair article which marked her formal debut to the world, as it had implied the reason for Kris and Caitlyn's divorce was the former's disapproval for Caitlyn's transition.

"You look amazing. It's your time, but you don't have to bash us on your way up," Kim said to Caitlyn.

"It was a distraction from the sense of who I was — it doesn't mean I didn't love you or the kids," Caitlyn explains.

  • The 9 Most Outrageous Things Charlie Sheen Has Done Since His Infamous Meltdown

    Yahoo Celebrity 2 days ago

The word "outrageous" is thrown around a lot, but it's never more appropriate than when describing actor Charlie Sheen. He often evokes the first definition that the Merriam-Webster Dictionary provides for the word: "exceeding the limits of what is usual."

He was the best example of the word (at least publicly) in his 2011 meltdown, when he was "winning" and calling everyone "trolls" in a bizarre series of events that ended with him being fired from the hit CBS show Two and a Half Men .

Of course, he bounced back from that and by 2012 had come to laugh about it. "I'm not crazy any more," he said during a press conference to promote his new project for FX, the appropriately titled Anger Management . "That was an episode."

But Sheen's behavior continues to be far from the norm. As the star turns 50 on Sept. 3, we look back at a few of the post-meltdown things he's done that raised eyebrows.

  • Susan Sarandon Finds Herself at Burning Man

Robert Kessler at Yahoo Celebrity 2 days ago

Academy Award winner/ping pong magnate/your best friend Susan Sarandon is having the time of her life at Burning Man.

Celebrities are no stranger to the weeklong art installation/hallucinogen convention which takes place in a remote desert location in northern Nevada, but Susan Sarandon is perhaps its patron saint. She's been attending since 2013, this year being no different.

The 68-year-old is going for the full experience. She's chilling in coveralls, she's working on art. Sarandon has even posted a couple of pics on Instagram, but if you really want to feel like you're right there with the original Janet Weiss ( The Rocky Horror Picture Show ), look no further than her dog's Twitter account, the Internet's leading resource on photos of things Susan Sarandon is looking at right this instant .

Sarandon (and Penny Lane) attended "the burning," from which the 30-year-old festival gets its name:
