After nearly two years of sitting empty on the market, the former home of Anna Nicole Smith finally has new life in it.

In late December, the five-bedroom Studio City, California, property went into contract, although for a fair amount less than the original $1.75 million asking price it had when it first hit the market in July 2011. On Tuesday, a judge approved the sale for $1.3 million.

And the amount – after real estate commissions are deducted – will go straight to the late model-turned-reality star’s 6-year-old daughter, Dannielynn. The little girl, who recently honored her mother with her own Guess? modeling campaign, lived in the 4,700-square-foot Mediterranean-style residence for the first two years of her life after her mother’s 2007 passing at the age of 39.

Although it’s been more than three years since Dannielynn and her father, photographer Larry Birkhead, called the modern mansion home, there are still some touches of the former famous owners left behind for the new tenant, an orthodontist from nearby Camarillo, California.

The little girl’s all-pink bedroom is still as it was – including the too-cute tiara with veil that hangs over the tiny twin bed. Also, in the home’s entryway is a gigantic pop art-style portrait of Anna Nicole, who only got to live in her dream home herself for two years after purchasing it for $1.335 million in April 2005.

The new owner is certainly getting a lot of bang for their buck. The three-floor property (on an 18,000-square-foot lot) has 20-foot ceilings, hardwood and marble floors, a remodeled kitchen, custom chandeliers, a gym with weight room, swimming pool, four-car garage, and a massive deck and balconies to take in the sweeping views of the canyons and the city.

Howard K. Stern, Anna Nicole’s former lawyer and confidante, was the executor of the estate and said in court papers that he believed the sale of the Studio City home is “to the advantage of the estate and the best interest of the interested persons.” This past November, a judge dismissed the drug conspiracy conviction against Stern in Anna Nicole’s death, clearing him of any wrongdoing.
