Actors Amy Poehler and Nick Kroll stepped out together Thursday night in Hollywood, making it their first official appearance together since they started dating a few months ago.
Poehler, 41, was on hand to help present Mel Brooks with AFI's 41st Life Achievement Award sponsored by Audi, and although the “Parks and Recreation” star walked the carpet solo, she had a handsome date waiting inside at her table, 35-year-old Kroll.
“It was sweet, when she was on stage he looked on adoringly,” an eyewitness tells omg!.
A slew of other stars, including Morgan Freeman, Billy Crystal, Robert DeNiro, Sarah Silverman, Jimmy Kimmel, Zach Galifianakis, and Dustin Hoffman, were also in attendance to toast to Brooks’s achievements.
Kroll, who currently stars in the FX comedy “The League,” and Poehler have been friends for years, but their relationship only turned romantic recently.
Poehler and fellow comic actor Will Arnett announced they split in September 2012 after nine years of marriage and two children together.
Arnett opened up to Details magazine recently, saying he too has found his “happiness,” but it doesn’t sound like he’s putting himself back on the market just yet.
"I'm not officially dating,” the actor said. “I don't know what you do. Do you put out an announcement in the trades? I'M DATING! It all seems very scary to me, to be honest. So I'm kind of keeping pretty close counsel right now."
