Let's be honest ― nobody looks great while being arrested. But Amanda Bynes appeared especially worse for the wear Thursday while being booked into police custody in Manhattan.

Dressed in gray sweatpants and a black sweatshirt that appeared to be a Versace knock-off, the aspiring fashion designer kept her head down as photographers snapped photos of her. But they were unable to get a good shot because she was wearing the wild, messy long platinum blond wig ―that she's been seen in often recently ―which was covering her face and much of her body.

As footage showed, Bynes was absolutely silent when she was led from the police station to a waiting van. When she was helped into the back seat, she leaned down to be out of camera range.

Omg! spoke with a source close to Bynes on Friday morning who says she sounded "wasted" and "out of it" on Thursday evening. The source adds that the bigger problem for her legally is that she just pled no contest in Burbank, California, earlier this month for driving on a suspended license and this arrest is a probation violation.

As reported, the off-the-rails former child star, whose erratic behavior over the last year has been well documented, was arrested in her Times Square high-rise apartment building after she was allegedly smoking marijuana in the lobby and then retreated to her 36th floor unit, where she dangerously threw a bong from a window when police arrived at her door.

She was arrested for reckless endangerment, tampering with physical evidence, and physical possession of marijuana, law enforcement authorities confirmed to "omg! Insider."

Bynes was initially taken from her apartment to nearby Roosevelt Hospital to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, according to WNBC. She was then brought to a Midtown police station to be processed. The one-time Nickelodeon star was expected to spend the night in Manhattan central booking and appear in court Friday.

Omg! will be following the court proceedings, so check back for the latest.
