Alicia Keys Performs at NBA All-Star Game to Mixed Reviews
Following her interesting rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” at Super Bowl, Alicia Keys once again received mixed reviews after performing Sunday at the NBA All-Star game in Houston.
Swizz Beatz’s wife was the halftime performer and ran through hits like “Empire State of Mind,” “Girl on Fire,” and “No One.” While no one questions Keys is a vocal powerhouse, something about her performance certainly didn’t translate into people’s living rooms.
Some stars, like Flea from The Red Hot Chili Peppers, took to Twitter to comment on the production and sound:

Keys didn’t come close to Beyoncé’s infamous Super Bowl Halftime show. To be fair, there is no way her budget was in the same realm of B’s in order to produce such an epic performance. But, Jay-Z’s wife seemed to enjoy the show! Beyoncé was seen dancing and singing along to Keys’ medleys. Regardless, the “Girl on Fire” singer appeared to be enjoying herself. She tweeted:
I was so excited to hit the stage tonight!! Thanks for showing your love and support! #NBAAllstar twitter.com/aliciakeys/sta… — Alicia Keys (@aliciakeys) February 18, 2013
