The world celebrated when Jennifer Aniston announced her engagement to Justin Theroux, but a year and a half later, it seems she's no closer to walking down the aisle. In fact, the couple has spent much of 2014 in different places.
Almost exactly one year ago, People magazine blasted on their cover that the "Friends" alum was in the middle of a "Wedding Countdown." The celeb-friendly mag informed us, "She's got the rings, dress, and date." And the story noted that the event was imminent — it would take place "soon after" a March 8 movie wrap date — and would be a "small affair."
Well, that date has obviously come and gone, and now there's a new report, in the admittedly less celeb-friendly Daily Mail, that Aniston and Theroux have not been together in more than 50 days. Some of those days include ones we would've expected to see the couple side-by-side: her 45th birthday, Valentine's Day, and at the funeral of Justin's close friend, Philip Seymour Hoffman.
The pair has been on opposite coasts since they rang in the new year together in her favorite vacation spot, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. (They actually attended a brunch with George Clooney on Jan. 5, so the Daily Mail's math is a hair off.) Since then, he's been in New York City shooting his new HBO show, "The Leftovers" (and going solo to events like Howard Stern's birthday bash); she's on the West Coast, where she celebrated her birthday with bestie Courteney Cox and bonded with feminist icon Gloria Steinem at a conference. And, because Aniston's long been America's sweetheart, the rumors are swirling about possible trouble in her love life.

Today: While they've given no indication of a split, the rumor mill kicks into overdrive that there's trouble in paradise for the pair, including the Daily Mail article stating they haven't been together for 50 days and the speculation that "things between the couple aren't exactly rosy."
A rep for the couple has not yet responded to Yahoo's request for comment. We like to think it's because the couple is too busy planning their reunion to have time to comment about silly gossip.
