‘Jersey Shore’ star Deena Cortese flaunts new figure in ‘Baywatch’-style bathing suit after losing 15 pounds

"Jersey Shore" meatball Deena Cortese is not so meaty anymore!

The 25-year-old reality star tells In Touch Weekly that she shed 15 pounds and dropped two dress sizes (she went from an 8 to a 4!) thanks to watching her diet and working out regularly. Of course, Cortese was more than willing to flaunt her hot new beach bod in the pages of the magazine by wearing a red "Baywatch"-style bathing suit. "I loved 'Baywatch' when I was younger," Cortese says. "I always wished I was her. [Now] I'm the guidette Pamela Anderson."

Cortese also admits that she's always struggled with body issues. After she joined the cast of "Jersey Shore" in 2011, the problem became worse as others weighed in on the subject. "If you're a little heavy, online bullies will treat you like crap," she says. "It's sad. And it really hurts." Ultimately, Cortese explains that it was seeing herself on TV that made her decide to make a change. "My weight was getting out of control, and I knew it was time to do something about it," she says.

Now that she's eating right and hitting the gym hard, Cortese says that she feels better physically and mentally. "I'm happy with myself, and that's the only thing that really matters," she shares.

Unfortunately, one of her castmates, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, is reportedly not doing as well. A source tells Us Weekly that the ab-tastic reality star, who left rehab in April, "isn't sober anymore." In fact, a witness claims that he was "downing so many cocktails he could barely stand" at the London Hotel in West Hollywood on September 26. The Situation's rep says that he "has not been drinking."

Both The Situation and Deena will appear on the final season of "Jersey Shore" when it premieres Thursday, October 4 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
