Elizabeth Hurley Goes Pink

A newly engaged Elizabeth Hurley showed off her sapphire sparkler on Tuesday when she appeared at an Edinburgh, Scotland, department store to promote Estee Lauder's Pink Ribbon Collection, which donates a portion of its proceeds to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

"I'm afraid it's probably very unlikely that there's anyone in this store that hasn't come across somebody who has been affected by breast cancer," the 46-year-old, one of the faces Estee Lauder, said at the event -- which also kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The cause is one that's close to her heart. "I lost my grandmother to breast cancer and at one stage I had five friends all under40, all mothers and all with breast cancer," Hurley revealed. "I'm happy to tell you that all those five ladies survived, and the reason they did is because they found their own lumps through self-detection and they went to their doctor. The cancer was found early and they were cured."

In true Scottish style, the model and actress was accompanied by an authentic bagpiper when she arrived. Though she's apparently a bit more interested in Australians these days. Her new fiance is Shane Warne,a pro cricket player who hails from Down Under.
