Grindhouse star Rose McGowan, 41, recently addressed the controversial comments she made last month regarding the LGBT community on the podcast of author Bret Easton Ellis.
Specifically, McGowan, 41, spoke out on how she sees the gay community as not actively supporting women's rights.
During her interview with the American Psycho writer, McGowan said, "Gay men are as misogynistic as straight men, if not more so. I have an indictment of the gay community right now, I’m actually really upset with them.
"I see no help, and I see no paying it forward, and I have a huge problem with that," she continued. "There are so many things to help and do, and I see no extending of a hand outside of the gay community to another community, and that's a problem for me."
Yesterday, McGowan penned an op-ed for the Huffington Post in which she apologized for some — but not all — of her statements.
Easy does it. If that's not Jennifer Lopez's motto, it should be.
J.Lo sat down with Arianna Huffington to promote her new book, True Love, and opened up about a health scare she had back in 2002.
"I was working on a movie called Enough , I was recording an album, I was doing videos on the weekend and I was recording at night," the singer/actress said. "I had worked maybe 55 days in a row without a day off and shooting on a film, and I just one day was walking towards the set and — every time I walked towards the set my heart would start beating and I would start getting frightened."
Lopez noted that her vision became blurry and she felt unable to move. Realizing the possible seriousness of the situation, she sought medical attention. The trip to the hospital turned out to be a bit of an intervention.
Doctor's orders, Jenny.
Angelina Jolie is many things. Oscar-winning actress. Acclaimed director. Mother to six and wife to little-known character actor Brad Pitt.
But down the road — well, maybe she'll be something else...
Jolie, 39, spoke with Vanity Fair about a whole host of topics, including whether or not she thinks politics may play a part in her future. While she continues to serve as director and special envoy for the United Nation's High Commissioner for Refugees, she may be up for more work in that arena, saying she is "open" to a life in politics, diplomacy, or public service.
Jolie explained that her role with the U.N. has opened her eyes to what's possible, but she's also aware that people will likely always see her as a movie star first and foremost.
"If you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility," she told the magazine.
"But I honestly don't know in what role I would be more useful — I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that [could] make it less possible."
Hey, if Arnold can do it....
Most people find talking about cars either boring or intimidating. Tom Magliozzi made it his mission to get folks to feel the exact opposite.
Tom, who teamed with brother Ray to form "Click and Clack, the Tappet Brothers" as hosts of the NPR staple Car Talk, died of complications from Alzheimer's disease on Monday, according to NPR. He was 77.
Said Ray in a statement: "We can be happy he lived the life he wanted to live; goofing off a lot, talking to you guys every week, and primarily, laughing his ass off."
Ray said that fans wishing to honor his brother should consider making a donation to "their favorite public radio station in his memory."
Doug Berman, producer of Car Talk , told NPR, that Tom's personality made the radio show. "His laugh is the working definition of infectious laughter," said Berman, who noted that he heard Tom before he actually met him.
What's better than spending a Saturday at a baby shower? Why, nothing, of course. See, that was a trick question.
Unless you happen to be close personal friends with Vanessa and Nick Lachey, you probably weren't invited to the former's baby shower this past weekend. But, lucky for you, she shared photos of the blessed event on Instagram.
Vanessa, looking radiant in a black and white dress, posed with seven of her friends. She captioned the photo, " To my sweet & sassy 7, I LOVE you more than you will ever know! Thank you for the continued love, laughs and strength you all give me. This little girl is lucky to have such amazing Aunties! "
In another photo, Vanessa and Nick posed together, their hands framing Vanessa's baby bump. In the background, a collection of pink cupcakes and treats stand at the ready. She captioned this one, " Today was a good day! The perfect 'sprinkle' of love."
Beyoncé, one of the biggest stars on the planet, decided to go as one of the most recognizable faces in the history of art for Halloween.
The "Single Ladies" singer dressed as Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, famous for inserting herself into her own paintings.
While Queen Bey rocks the look (as she always does), we can't help but notice she's missing one incredibly important Kahlo-ism to complete the look.
Where the heck's the unibrow? While Beyoncé painted on some thicker brows, she stopped short of connecting them into one majestic caterpillar.
So, what gives? Did Beyoncé not have the guts to go full-Kahlo, who was well known for defying norms of beauty?
Perhaps Beyoncé could take a lesson from Heidi Klum. She's beautiful, but you'd never know it when Halloween rolls around.
Remember that time she went as a cadaver?
That's when the next film to take place a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away will hit theaters. And while we don't know much about the film's plot (a begrudging tip o' the cap to director JJ Abrams for keeping things under wraps), we do know that many cast members recently got together for a wrap party in London, marking the end of a shoot that may have began in early April.
The original trilogy's big three -- Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher -- were all in attendance, as were Daisy Ridley, Andy Serkis, and Abrams himself.
It's difficult to garner too much inside information from the shots, taken as the revelers went to their cars post-party, but a few things were rather obvious.
First and foremost -- Mark Hamill has shaved his beard. Hallelujah! For months, the actor has been spotted with a bushy, Rutherford B. Hayes type facial hair leading many Star Wars fans to speculate that Luke Skywalker must have one helluva beard in the new film. It's an interesting coincidence to see the beard gone at a wrap party of all places.
He's got the look. His parents' look, that is.
Brooklyn Beckham, the 15-year old son of David and Victoria Beckham, showed off his modeling skills in the winter issue of The New York Times' T Magazine.
And, yep, the youngster's a natural when it comes to looking good in front of the camera, just like his photogenic mom and dad.
Not every teen can pull off the old comb stuck in the hair look. It's a skill you're either born with or you're not.
Young Brooklyn posed for a series of photos with British model Jean Campbell along the shores of Montauk, New York. The pictures were taken by fashion photographer Bruce Weber.
Maybe Ricki Lake shouldn't have eaten her words after all.
The actress and former talk-show host has filed for divorce from jewelry designer Christian Evans following two years of marriage that came after Lake had said she wouldn't wed again. The 47-year-old star filed court documents on Oct. 9 in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences. She's offering to pay spousal support, according to People.
Lake began dating Evans, now 42, in 2010. A year later, Lake wrote a blog post foriVilliage in which she spoke about getting married for a second time. "I have a wonderful career that keeps me surrounded by creative, dedicated people. 'I have everything I want,' I would always tell my inner circle.'I will never marry again. Even if I meet Mr. Right, there is no need to make anything official .'
"That was before I met Christian. Fortunately, words don't have calories — because I am eating mine! On my 42nd birthday, true love walked into my life, and I am not letting it out."
The mother of troubled actress Amanda Bynes now has legal control over her daughter's finances and well-being. Again.
Lynn Bynes was given a conservatorship after revealing in court documents that her 28-year-old daughter has engaged in erratic behavior, including spending a shocking amount of money on gifts for complete strangers, The Insider With Yahoo has confirmed.
Bynes, worth well over $5 million, according to court documents, is in no immediate danger of going broke. Her annual income from rental property is $144,768 per year. However, her parents were disturbed by her habit of buying expensive Cartier jewelry and then giving the items away to people on the street.
In early October, Bynes accused her father of emotional and physical abuse. She later took back the statement on Twitter, saying that a microchip in her brain ordered her to make the claims.
