Chris Brown isn't getting out of jail anytime soon, but he is ready to embark on another cross-county tour of the wrong sort.
Ensnared in a tangled legal web, Brown has been shuttled from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C., and now is heading back again — in the custody of federal officers.
On Wednesday, Brown's assault trial in Washington, D.C., was put on hold as prosecutors wrangled with the singer's bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, who's a key witness and is being tried separately for his own involvement in the incident.
Hollosy's lawyer says that unless his client is granted immunity, he will not testify in Brown's case until he has exhausted the appeals process, which could take six months to a year. Hollosy is expected to take the fall for his boss, accepting responsibility for attacking 20-year-old Parker Adams, who tried to jump into a photo with Brown outside of a Washington hotel.
D.C. Superior Court Judge A. Franklin Burgess Jr. set a status hearing for Brown for June 25, the same day as Hollosy's sentencing.

After spending the better part of two decades shunning the limelight, Doris Day decided the time was right to make a public appearance. The occasion: her 90th birthday party in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
The legendary entertainer was the surprise guest of honor at her own celebration last Friday, an event that benefited her beloved Doris Day Animal Foundation. Although more than 175 fans were invited from all around the world to celebrate the milestone birthday, there were no plans for Day to actually attend, according to sources close to the actress.
Day's die-hard fans make an annual pilgrimage to Carmel's Cypress Inn (which she has owned since the 1980s) for her birthday weekend, even though they know their chances of actually seeing the screen icon are slim. Friday marked her first official public appearance in over 20 years.
But not even the night's volunteers had any idea Day would appear until moments before the doors opened.

Leave it to one Avenger to support another. Robert Downey Jr., the man behind Iron Man's suit, celebrated his 49th birthday last Friday by inviting 20 kids to a private screening of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," which happened to open on his big day. " What better way to spend my birthday than recognizing the cosmic miracle of Captain America 2 opening the same day?" he wrote on Facebook. "Gonna wrangle about twenty kids to watch it with and partaaaaaaaaaaaaay Marvel-style!!! " "Let the partaaaaay begin!!!" he captioned a pic from the screening, also posted to his Facebook page. [Related: First Peek at Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver on 'Avengers 2' Set] It's a far cry from Downey's hard-partying days when a birthday likely would've been accompanied by adult libations. Downey's remained sober now for more than a decade. No word on where the lucky 20 young folks came from, but there certainly were smiles all around in Downey's pic. RDJ has two children himself, son Exton Elias Downey, 2, with current wife Susan Downey, and son Indio Falconer Downey, 20, from his first marriage to Deborah Falconer. In 2013, Downey topped Forbes's list of Highest Paid Actors, having earned around $75 million in the previous year. He's starred in six films that have earned over $500 million, including most recently "The Avengers" and "Iron Man 3," each of which have earned more than $1 billion. So, we're guessing he was able to afford some popcorn. "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" earned $96 million domestically and $203 million worldwide in its opening weekend, making it the largest domestic April opening of all time. Captain America and Iron Man will reteam in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," which is currently filming and due in theaters May 2, 2015.

Kevin Federline may not have much of a six pack left around his waist these days, but he has one in the kid department. That's because K-Fed's wife, Victoria Prince, gave birth to a new baby girl this weekend — Kevin's sixth child! Federline posted a pic to Instagram expressing his joy: "Words cannot express the joy my children bring me," the caption read. "We are very excited to welcome the newest member of our family.. I love you with all my heart. @crownv_16 #thefedz #sixthman I mean #sixthwoman." There's no word on a name yet for the new bundle of joy. Kevin, 36, and Victoria, 30, have another daughter, Jordan Kay, 2, together. He's also father to Britney Spears's two sons, Sean Preston, 8, and Jayden James, 7. Additionally, he has two kids with ex Shar Jackson — daughter Kori, 11, and son Kaleb, 9. The couple married last August at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas while taking a road trip with their daughter. The "PopoZão" singer tricked his now wife by telling her that he had a job in Sin City, later surprising her with his proposal and their impromptu wedding. He was so confident she would say "yes" that he had already gathered 30 of their closest family and friends in Vegas to be there for their ceremony. Victoria isn't in the entertainment industry though. Rather, she's a special education teacher who used to play professional beach volleyball. She even used to compete against three-time Olympic gold medalists Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh. Since his split with Spears, Federline has been a weight-loss reality TV regular, appearing on shows ranging from "Celebrity Fit Club" in the U.S. to "Excess Baggage" in Australia.

Miley Cyrus is not dealing well with the loss of her beloved dog Floyd. On Wednesday night, the 21-year-old singer struggled tearfully through an emotional performance of Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide" in Boston. It was her first concert since the loss of her beloved Alaskan Klee Kai, who was not yet 3 years old when he died. "It's going to be hard to do this next song," she began. "I'm not myself, I don't feel like myself. I'm sure you guys already know, but the reason that I'm all upset is my dog — I shouldn't say he was my favorite, but he was my favorite, and he passed away. I just wanna do this song for him because we always used to always listen to Fleetwood Mac together, it's his favorite song… so I wanna do this song for Floyd-y. This song is 'Landslide.'" Though Miley's voice was noticeably warbled, she pushed through until the end of the song dedicated to her pooch. At one point, her little sister Noah Cyrus, 14, shared a hug from the stage. Afterwards, Miley told the crowd that she was grateful for their support. Miley also broke down during her covers of Lana Del Rey's "Summertime Sadness" and Coldplay's "The Scientist," both of which are also melancholy and introspective tunes. Overall, she brought up Floyd's name about three or four times throughout the night. The pop star warned her fans ahead of time that due the loss of her dog, she might not be at the top of her game for Wednesday's show:
