Ryan Gosling and Ryan Gosling are featured on the cover of Esquire 's September issue. - Perou/Esquire
Ryan Gosling's star is clearly rising these days. Within the last year, the newly crowned A-lister has starred in "Blue Valentine," the critically acclaimed independent drama about a crumbling young marriage, and now the newly released mainstream comedy "Crazy, Stupid, Love" opposite Steve Carell. And while we're used to seeing the ultra handsome 30-year-old all decked out on the red carpet, dressed down in jeans walking his beloved pooch George, or larger than life on billboards for his latest flick, we were a little thrown by the macabre photo spread he did for the latest issue of Esquire.
According to the mag, Gosling was fascinated with ghostly apparitions as a kid, and told Esquire's photographer about some of his recent dreams which were then interpreted in these pics. Check 'em out for yourself and decide:artsy or just plain creepy?
