Is Ralph Macchio Rocking a Rug?

Remember, back in the early to mid '90s, when Jeremy Piven guested on "Seinfeld," starred on "Ellen," and appeared in many major motion pictures, including "Singles," "Heat," and "Grosse Pointe Blank"? That Jeremy Piven isn't the Jeremy Piven you probably know from his current, long-standing gig on HBO's "Entourage." Why? Because 15 years ago Jeremy didn't have much hair left on his head, and, these days, a thick 'do sits atop his dome.

Look, we get it. Male pattern baldness affects millions of men (and even some women) worldwide. It's often unsightly; it can be soul-crushing, and it's expensive to correct. But, with a fat bank account -- like Jeremy must have had by the end of the '90s -- a hair transplant or custom-made toupee is easily affordable. Long story short (too late), Jeremy had some work done, landed the role of Ari Gold on "Entourage," and has seen his star continue to rise ever since fixing his follicle debacle.

But, Jeremy isn't alone.

Another actor, "Karate Kid" alum Ralph Macchio -- who's recently reemerged as a contestant on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" -- also looks a lot different since the last time we saw him. Yes, the 49-year-old father of two had a brief stint as Archie Rodriguez (Hilda Suarez's love interest) on "Ugly Betty" from 2008-2009, but, between 1992's "My Cousin Vinny" and "Betty," Ralph had been relatively MIA. Now, he's back in the spotlight (and under a ton of unnatural lights) on the highly-rated reality series.

Don't get me wrong. I love me some Ralph Macchio. In fact, I think I'm even rooting for him to emerge victorious as the "Dancing With the Stars'" Season 12 champ. But, this is not the Ralph Macchio I recall seeing 10 years ago, the Ralph Macchico who sported a seriously receeding hairline.

Check out the before and after pictures for yourself. Clearly, the man best known as Daniel-san is currently wearing a weave of some sorts. Maybe it's a rug; maybe it's natural (via transplant) ... whatever the case may be, it looks halfway decent/slightly faux. But, who cares? I love Ralph, with or without a fabulous head of hair. I just couldn't believe the difference and wanted to share my bizarro find of the day!
