Mandy Moore Introduces Fashion’s ‘Fresh Faces’

Back from a week-long East Coast trip where she visited friends in NYC and played a few songs with Mike Viola in Massachusetts, singer/actress/songwriter/fashion maven Mandy Moore arrived at the 11th annual Gen Art Fresh Faces in Fashion show on Friday night to introduce 12 of Los Angeles' most promising clothing and accessories designers at the Petersen Automotive Museum.

The lineup of talent included Lindsay Lohan's buddy Wayne Joffe, who's Wayne Hadly menswear collection featured tuxedo-inspired sleeveless tops, fitted shorts, and teeny-tiny bowties that channeled "Gossip Girl's" Chuck Bass (the models were even strutting down the runway sans socks!), and Quail designer Michelle Williams (wifey to the manager of the Cold War Kids), who paired her lingerie-like, frilly blouses and mini skirts with patent peep-toe wedges from alice + olivia's Payless collection, flawlessly combining high-end fashion with affordable street wear.

The Gen Art Fresh Faces in Fashion show has been a launch pad for designers like Zac Posen, Corey Lynn Calter, Rebecca Taylor, and Louis Verdad. And judging from the visual feast that went down the catwalk Friday evening, this won't be last time we hear from this year's group of designers.

At the after party, Mandy was spotted gushing about the runway designs to various press folks. Across the room, former Pussycat Doll Carmit Bachar played car model as she slinked around the museum's exhibit of rare and classic automobiles and posed for the paps. Also spotted at the fete were just-eliminated "Project Runway" contestant Jerell Scott and Courtney Semel (Tila Tequila's girlfriend).
