Lauren Conrad: ‘My hair takes seven hours’

Lauren Conrad has often been so accessible, and so normal when compared to other reality stars — minimal screaming fights and no "Jersey Shore"-style benders caught on camera — that she's been described by some as, well, a little boring. In a new interview, however, LC proved that she's not above all the ridiculousness, when the 26-year-old revealed that she regularly spends seven hours at the hair salon. She knows her hair place so well that she mentioned it when asked about her favorite hangouts in L.A.

"I love my salon," Conrad tells Stylecaster. "My hairstylist Kristin Ess opened up her own little studio. It's fun. She's fantastic, is a close friend, and is thankfully very flexible with my schedule. I'll be working all week, and I'll come in at like seven at night." Now here comes the crazy part: "My hair takes seven hours, so sometimes we'll order take out and drink champagne. We also like to fool around a bit, so it probably takes a lot longer than it should!" Like maybe five or six hours too long?! "Well, I usually wear extensions!" Conrad says in her defense.

Conrad, who has often tried out different shades on her tresses, is so obsessed with beauty and style that she created TheBeautyDepartment.com with Ess, who she obviously loves spending time with, and her makeup artist, Amy Nadine. The website offers tutorials on how to do things like achieve the perfect eyebrows, set your curls with sponge rollers, or paint your nails so that they look like they're covered in confetti. That last one's cute, right? The clothing designer and YA novelist has also authored two books all about her look just this year, Lauren Conrad Style and Lauren Conrad Beauty.

Someone who particularly loves Conrad's flirty, feminine style is her boyfriend of eight months, 32-year-old musician William Tell. Apparently, the two are super serious as Conrad has confessed that she doesn't see any other guys in her future. "I kind of hope I'm done with dating!" she says in the latest issue of In Touch. However, she isn't planning to tie the knot just yet. "At the moment, I don't think I'm ready for [marriage]," she admits. "I have a lot of professional things that I'm focusing on."

If and when she does take the plunge, Conrad reveals that the possibility of a televised wedding special has already been mentioned. "I'm still in touch with my producer [from 'Laguna Beach' and 'The Hills'], and any time something comes out about my boyfriend, he'll email me, like, 'Make sure you get a wedding dress that hides the mic pad!'"

Can you imagine how long Conrad will spend at the salon on the day of her wedding?!
