Cameron Diaz: ‘I Never Said I Don’t Want Children’

At 39, Cameron Diaz is one of Hollywood's most eligible bachelorettes. Unlike the mom-to-be character she plays in the upcoming comedy "What to Expect When You're Expecting," she's never had a baby bump, or been married, so she's often seen as someone who wants to fly solo and might never settle down. But, as she reveals to InStyle, that's not necessarily true; The "Charlie's Angels" actress isn't willing to rule anything out. "Society definitely puts pressure on women to make them think their lives should go a certain way," Diaz tells the magazine. "I've never said I don't want children — I just haven't had children yet. I don't know what's going to happen in my life!"

In fact, Diaz confesses that every one of the romances in her life took her by surprise. The "There's Something About Mary" leading lady has been linked to former co-star Matt Dillon, actor-turned-rocker Jared Leto (they were engaged), singer Justin Timberlake, New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez, and, if you believe the rumors, music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs. "I would never have guessed that I would end up dating any of the guys I've dated — never!," she says. "I would rather have my heart broken a thousand times than never to love at all. I have so much love to give — I'm not empty of love, I'm full of love."

How to Get a Body Like Cameron Diaz

Fans will get their chance to see Cameron pregnant when "What to Expect When You're Expecting," based on the best-selling book of the same title, hits theaters May 18. In real life, however, even she doesn't know what's next. "I'm not trying to fit into anyone's box about how I should be," Diaz explains. "I just fit in my own box."
