‘Zoolander 2′ Teaser Trailer: Cosmic Vogue-ing With Ben Stiller
“The pinnacle of billions of years of evolution”? The cosmic implications are endless. Umm, in this case make that comic implications. What sounds like the computer voice usually identified with Stephen Hawking sets up the return of supermodel Derek Zoolander aka Ben Stiller, who directs from Justin Theroux’s script. And there’ll be lots of improvised vogue-ing to be sure, which is perfect for social media.
Those marketing tools were barely a factor the first time around, but Stiller has been taking full advantage for this one, teasing the movie and cast on Instagram and Twitter, and this teaser was launched officially today on Facebook following its (strategically sanctioned?) leak yesterday.
Among stars scheduled for Zoolander’s return to the catwalk are Billy Zane, Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell and Christine Tayler. Newcomers to the scene incude Kristen Wiig, Penelope Cruz, Olivia Munn, Cyrus Arnold and Mr. and Mrs. Kanye West among others. Will Donald Trump have a cameo? Guess we’ll have to wait and see. Zoolander 2 is a long way off but this offers some chuckles with more likely to come between now and February 12, 2016.
