Watch: Mitt Romney Throws Off Stephen Colbert in ‘Late Show’ Promo

As the premiere of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” fast approaches, CBS has offered another glimpse at Colbert’s new hosting gig with three new promos, released Sunday.

In one, Colbert begins giving a preview of the new “Late Show,” promising “fascinating conversations” with celebrities, athletes, musicians and politicians. In fact, someone who looks eerily like former presidential candidate Mitt Romney (because he is Mitt Romney) appears.

“Wow, you do a great Mitt Romney,” Colbert compliments.

After Romney informs him that he is, in fact, Romney, Colbert replies: “That’s it. Stay in character.”

In another, Colbert has fun with both magic and math, and show off his Charlie Rose trapper keeper in another.

Colbert, who left Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report” late last year, will officially begin to fill David Letterman’s shoes on “Late Show” on Sept. 8 on CBS.
