Now that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have reached such a speedy divorce settlement, it's time to look toward the future. The famous Scientologist is known for being a man who is in love with love. Who could ever forget the "Top Gun" star expressing his love for "Kate" by jumping up and down on Oprah Winfrey's sofa?
Katie was Cruise's third wife. So what does the "Slutty Pumpkin" share with Tom's previous paramours? Coincidentally, Ms. Holmes, Tom's second wife Nicole Kidman and his first wife Mimi Rogers all moved on at 33 years of age. Rogers was 34 by the time the divorce papers were signed, however.
As Team Cruise considers whom Suri's dad might date and/or marry next, we'd like to look back. What kind of woman does it take to love this box office star?
Of course, fans came to love the elegant brunette beauty as Joey Potter on "Dawson's Creek." Her plucky character was the girl next door, Dawson's BFF and soulmate all rolled into one. When she hooked up with Cruise she revealed that she had a crush on him when she was a kid. Their marriage lasted six years and produced the most fashionable kid in Hollywood.
Ms. Kidman is a real live movie star. When she met Tom he was the only bright light in the family. By the time the duo called it quits, Nicole was known for more than her red carpet moments. Her Cruise marriage was dissolved in 2001. Kidman's beloved adopted children, Connor and Isabella, remained with Tom while she went on to her new life with Keith Urban. Nicole is now the mother of four.
Mimi was married to Tom in the late 1980s. The "older woman" is credited with introducing the "Mission Impossible" star to the religion of Scientology. One of her most memorable acting roles is as Mrs. Kensington in "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery."
