Although the fashion guru supports marriage equality, he has no plans to get hitched anytime soon. He's happy flying solo.
He explained, "It's not like there's no one good enough, or that I wouldn't want to share my life with anyone. It's just that I'm very content being with me ... I'm not without feelings and emotions. There just isn't another person involved."
Victor Blackwell asked, "You like being alone? Or you like being with yourself?"
Tim answered, "I like being with myself. Thank you for making the distinction!"
The "Project Runway" mentor has been celibate for more than 30 years. His last serious relationship was during the '80s, at the height of the AIDS scare. His then-partner had confessed to "sleeping around," potentially exposing him to the deadly disease. Looks like Tim was turned off from dating after that!
The Emmy Award nominee is not the only one who has been opening up about being single.
Check out who else has been talking about their dating life (or lack thereof)!
The "Vampire Diaries" star talked to Cosmopolitan about what she's looking for in a guy. "You either have chemistry or you don't, but a lot of what attracts me is a guy's mind and humor and talent. I need to get to know all those things before I fall for someone. I'm not a one-night stand kind of girl. I'm a relationship girl."
One of the positives that she took from her breakup was her new friendship with Julianne Hough. The gal pals became close after they both found themselves single around the same time. However, Nina insists that their friendship isn't based on their relationship status.
As she explains, "That's not what our friendship is about. Unfortunately, that's how it's perceived, but there's more to us. It's been cool to find an active buddy - there are lots of girlie girls around. We don't talk about makeup; we talk about life."
As he told Hollywood Life two weeks ago, "[Fans have] seen me on and off again with different girls, you know who they are, but right now, as a 24-year-old man, I just choose to be single! I'm still good friends with them. [Now] it's just me being focused with my music and doing this stuff. Right now, I'm in my prime."
Of course, we don't know how long his music career will last. This morning, the R&B singer announced that his upcoming album, "Album X," would be his last.
As he tweeted, "Don't worry mainstream America. After this X album, it'll probably be my last album. Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I'm cool & over it!"
Who knows what's going on with Selena Gomez and her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber? On July 27, he attended her 21st birthday party. Us Weekly reports that the Biebs flew in to Malibu specifically for the event, and that he had arrived with a single red rose in his hand.
Still, the "Come And Get It" singer insists that she is single.
"I've known him for a really long time and we enjoy each other's company every now and then. But I'm definitely single and enjoying being that," she said.
Selena also had high praise for her pal, Taylor Swift.
"Taylor's been one of the strongest people I've ever known and she's been through a lot" she said. "Honestly I think if anything I aspire to be her in her personal life and how she handles herself publicly."
Despite Taylor's reputation for having a lot of exes, she actually seems to be taking a break from dating. She hasn't been in a serious relationship since her breakup with Harry Styles last spring.
Back in May, at the Billboard Music Awards, the "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together Again" singer poked fun at her own dating life, telling her fans, "you are the longest and best relationship I've ever had."
Vinny Guadagnino seems frustrated with the nature of relationships in general as well. Last month, in an Instagram video, the former "Jersey Shore" star ranted, "When I see a cute couple, I'm like 'aw I wish I had a girlfriend.' When I have a girlfriend, I'm like, 'f. you, you f-n b-tch! I hate you! I hate you!"
