She's 55 years old, but Sharon Stone boasts a body which rivals that of a 20-something fitness model.
So, what's her secret?
"I'm a gym rat," Sharon told Access Hollywood , when asked how she maintains her lean figure at the "Lovelace" premiere in New York City on Tuesday evening. "I do all kinds of things. I just joined a regular gym and I like to go where people really work out, and I just get into it."
The Academy Award-nominated star said music is key when it comes to workout inspiration.
"I put my headphones on and I get lost in there. I like it," she said, adding that she is "an athlete," who really likes "an athletic environment."
And the benefits are more than just physical.
"It is [good] for my [head]," she said. "It's something that I really enjoy."
The actress - who plays Dorothy Boreman (mother to Amanda Seyfried's Linda Lovelace) in the upcoming biopic - said she doesn't necessarily believe that maintaining strong stomach muscles gets harder with age, as proper abdominal form should be incorporated into all workouts.
"I think that one should do all exercises from the core; it's part of the breathing," she said. "I believe that we don't have to do all kinds of stuff, but that we should be able to lift our own body weight, get through small spaces. I think we should all be able to work with our own body."
As for her role in "Lovelace," Sharon said she finds Linda's story uplifting, despite the rampant abuse the "Deep Throat" star allegedly suffered during her years in the porn industry.
"[Linda] demonstrated to the world that no matter how you fall, it's how you get up. And she got up with tremendous dignity, tremendous power, and tremendous grace," Sharon said. "She showed women that no matter how abused you may become, you have power over your own destiny. I think it's very important in a time women are struggling to hold onto women's rights."
Adding, "That's one of the things that intrigued me the most about this project -- I think that we as mothers have to show how powerful and important it is to be a mother, and to be a good mother, and to demonstrate this example for our daughters that we have to stay strong holding onto women's rights."
"Lovelace" hits theaters on August 9.
