Rihanna and a few other celebrities don't believe in that old Hollywood saying, "You can never be too rich or too thin." Or at least they don't like the latter part of it.
Rob Kardashian recently told Oprah that his famous sisters are "not skinny women," which was certainly something that Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Khloe Kardashian were not happy to hear. However, some celebrities like RiRi don't see being skinny as anything special.
Rob quickly tried to cover for himself by saying that his sisters aren't models - they're role models. But he kind of has that backwards since his sisters model all the time and don't exactly set the best example with their superficial lifestyle. Party girl RiRi probably also isn't the best role model for young women, but at least she doesn't want her fans to starve themselves to look like her.
The singer is currently a size zero and blames her thinner figure on her busy schedule. She said about her not-bootylicious-enough body, "I prefer myself a little chunkier. I want my old butt back!" Kimmy K would probably share with her if she could.
Surprisingly, RiRi isn't the only celeb that has complained about being too skinny. "Transformers" actress Megan Fox decided she wanted to transform her body by giving up her vegan diet last year. Here's what she told Amica magazine about changing what she ate in order to gain weight: "I had lost too much weight. So now I eat a bit of everything. And I train three times a week doing circuit training with my trainer Harley Pasternak." Hopefully she continues to eat enough now that she's expecting.
Fellow brunette beauty Mila Kunis also once complained about her thin frame, but she had to intentionally drop some pounds to play a ballerina in "Black Swan." She said of her transformation, "I looked like Gollum from 'Lord of the Rings!' Everything was just protruding." She was happy to gain the weight back, but later complained that it didn't go to the right places - instead of going to her butt and breasts, she says that it ended up on her stomach and thighs. So she obviously sacrificed a lot for that role.
Eva Longoria had a completely different reason for getting too skinny - the "Desperate Housewives" star blamed her divorce from Tony Parker for leading her to lose a lot of weight. However, she wasn't intentionally getting thinner to make her ex see what he what he was missing. She told Health magazine, "I was so thin and everyone kept saying how great I looked. It was probably the most unhealthy place I've ever been. In my worst time, people were saying I've never looked better."
Even Angelina Jolie has admitted to being too skinny. In 2007 she told the Evening Standard, "Someone saying to me that I'm thin is not a compliment. I've always been lean and this year I lost my mom and I've gone through a lot. I have four kids and I finished breastfeeding - it's been hard to get my nutrition back on track." She went on to complain about people assuming that she was losing weight just to fit into her skinny jeans. But her reason given for being thin then doesn't explain why she's still so frail-looking now.
