Paul Ryan Dies: Actor, TV Host & ‘ET’ Correspondent Was 69
Paul Ryan, an actor, TV host and former Entertainment Tonight correspondent, has died. He was 69. Ryan died April 23 of leukemia at Providence Saint Joseph Hospital in Burbank.
He hundreds of celebrity interviews as ET‘s Hollywood correspondent, co-hosted the local Mid-Morning Los Angeles and most recently produced web series A BraveHeart View. Ryan also authored the 2007 book The Art Of Comedy: Getting Serious About Being Funny.
His acting career included more than two dozen roles over four decades, with bit parts on such popular series as Bewitched, Emergency!, Mission: Impossible, Night Court, Highway To Heaven, Murder, She Wrote and Desperate Housewives. His most recent TV credit was Comedy Bang Bang. Big-screen credits include Coma, Star 80 and Fast Forward.
Born Bernard Feldman on June 11, 1945, Ryan also served as a TV hosting coach and speaker and hosted Celebrity Master Class for the Screen Actors Guild Foundation. A memorial service is set for 11:30 AM Tuesday at Mount Sinai Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
