NBA Star Shaquille O’Neal Blasts Scottie Pippen Again: ‘I Don’t Let Bums Disrespect Me’

The Shaquille O’Neal vs. Scottie Pippen NBA feud went into round two this week when the former Los Angeles Lakers star blasted his former Chicago Bulls rival once again.

“I don’t let bums disrespect me. He was a great player but I’m the bridge, he’s the water. He will always be under me,” the 7’1” basketball giant said on his podcast The Big Podcast with Shaq on Monday. “Every now and then he will rise to the occasion to get to the same level as the bridge but when reality kicks in, I’m the bridge, he is water, he is under me. Scottie Pippen can’t disrespect me.”

The NBA greats got into a bitter social media battle earlier this month, trading shots about who was the best player. The beef began when Shaq played a friendly game of “what if” with his Instagram followers, asking them who would’ve won if all of the Lakers greats from every era got together and played the Bulls stars from every era.

“We would beat em by fifty,” Shaq wrote earlier this month next to an image comparing the two teams.

Pippen, who played for Chicago from 1987-1998, quickly fired back: “All I know is we won 6 titles, twice the amount you claimed while in LA.”

Meanwhile on Monday, O’Neal remained adamant that it was Michael Jordan — not Pippen — who won the six championships for the Bulls in their golden era of the ’90s.

“You were not the main focus of the six rings. Don’t make me pull up the scouting report,” O’Neal threatened Pippen. “You wasn’t even a factor on the scouting report. It was all about Mike.”
