Blake Shelton may have been the co-host with the most at Sunday night's ACM Awards in Las Vegas, but it was his wife who stole the show with her three wins, rocking performances, and stunning style. All eyes were on Miranda Lambert from the very beginning, when she walked the red carpet at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in a super-low-cut black bustier dress.
The 29-year-old country singer just barely avoided a wardrobe malfunction in the sexy, plunging frock, which displayed her ample cleavage and enviable curves. She kept the rest of her look simple, wearing minimal jewelry and sheer open-toed booties, with her blonde hair in loose waves around her shoulders.
Lambert also turned heads in two other outfits: a black leather corset and fringed skirt to open the show with her husband and a group of other performers including Sheryl Crow, Brad Paisley, and her all-female trio, Pistol Annies; and a black minidress with all-over silver detailing to perform her hit "Mama's Broken Heart."
The blonde beauty was definitely the belle of the ball, taking home three trophies for Female Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Single Record of the Year. Accepting the award for Song of the Year for "Over You," a duet with Shelton, she expressed how much it meant to her to be valued for her writing.
"Having your songs and your lyrics be recognized by your peers is pretty much as good as it gets," she gushed. "Thank you for accepting me as a songwriter, not just a singer-performer, because that means the world to me."
Later, during her speech for Female Vocalist of the Year, she broke down into tears as she talked about her fellow performers. "Last night, a huge dream of mine came true," she said, her voice breaking. "Because I went from being a little girl singing into a hairbrush to watching Shania Twain with Faith Hill, Reba McEntire, and Kelly Clarkson. And I cried all night because I'll never not be a fan of those beautiful women."
