LL Cool J will serve as host of this year's Grammy Awards, ending several years of a no-host format, the Recording Academy announced Wednesday.
"I'm thrilled to be part of music's biggest night," LL Cool J said in a statement. "I will always have fond memories of my first Grammys Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true."
The show has not had a host since Queen Latifah in 2005.
