We've all watched the train wreck known as Lindsay Lohan make its way through Tinsletown in the past several years as Lohan went from adorable teen queen in "Mean Girls" to an irresponsible actress unable to land any decent roles. Although the former "Parent Trap" star has been making an effort to look and act better recently, it seems some people in Hollywood are still worried about Lindsay.
According to former momager for Liv Tyler, Bebe Buell, told Steppin' Out recently that she could easily turn Lohan around and have her on stage at the Oscars accepting an award.
"If Lindsay spent a year with me I could turn her around. I could have her winning her first Oscar in two years!" Buell said.
Liv Tyler's mother Buell was originally known as a Playboy model and rock star groupie earning the nickname "Rock's Erotic Pin-Up Queen." The character of Penny Lane in Cameron Crowe's "Almost Famous" was based on Buell.
She gave birth to Liv Tyler, knowing very well Aerosmith rockstar Steven Tyler was the father, but initially pretended Liv was someone else's daughter. In Liv's early teens, Bebe introduced her to her real father and helped her launch modeling and acting careers.
Buell believes Lohan's mother, Dina, is doing a terrible job of guiding her daughter's life and acting career. She blasted Dina by saying, "Dina Lohan's relationship with her daughter Lindsay disturbs me. I don't see a mother and a daughter there."
Buell explained the steps of getting Lindsay back on track.
"First I would want to go some place alone with her. I would take her some where in the fresh air. I would want her to tell me what's happening inside of her and what's hurting. I would ask her why she needs to feel altered. If she says because it's fun and it feels good I would feel she has a good chance. Because we all acted up when we were her age. There just weren't so many camera's on us back then. But this kid can't do anything and everybody judges her. She's so talented. She's like a young Ann Margret to me. I would just love to build her self esteem and let her see how beautiful she is," she told the magazine.
Buell continued. "Lindsay needs to stop going out and not being seen for a while. The mother going with her to events and witnessing her throwing drinks and stuff like that infuriates me! It makes me angry! It's about a lack of education and connection on the mother's part. I don't mean school when I say education. I'm talking about the education of the soul. Some people just aren't elevated. They're not there yet."
We doubt Lohan will be making any acceptance speeches in the future on stage at Oscars although recently it seems the former child star might cleaning up on her own. Us Magazine snapped pics of Lindsay in a more demure, classier style than we're used to seeing her in.She has a few new jobs including a modeling gig and movie in the works. Is it possible she's had a makeover lately? Her dad Michael Lohan is hoping so and believes she's on the right path now.
"She's going to be in a fashion thing. She has the 'Gotti' movie coming up and I just hope that she stays on the right path," Michael told "Access" at the "Celebrity Fight Night" press conference when asked about his headline-making daughter.
There's no word on reaction from Lindsay Lohan yet. Should she take Buell up on her offer or do you think she can figure this out on her own?
