Liam Hemsworth is looking good on the cover of the March issue of Details Magazine.
On this blue-themed cover, the Aussie hunk is looking smooth with his simply chic but casual ensemble. I'm loving the elegant slim tie and tight-fitting polo against the denim. And the blue theme really brings out the color of his eyes.
The interview talks about his rise from relative obscurity, having to scrape by with $15 an hour jobs. One of the turning points of his life was his audition for "The Last Song." He met Miley Cyrus, and the rest is history!
Liam is about to star in "The Hunger Games," a franchise that is expected to rival the success of Twilight. Yet he seemed reluctant to talk about his impending success. He has never met Robert Pattinson, and doesn't think there's anything he could say to make the process any easier. "What do you say to someone?" he says. "'Your life's gonna change.' Okay. Thanks. Cool."
"The Last Song" star seemed more interested in defending his girlfriend against backlash she received over the weed/Bob Marley cake comments. "She's in a room full of her best friends. And you have one person who comes in there and videos it. The poor girl can't have one night where she can feel safe in her own world. It's ridiculous."
Hemsworth's impending success might just take a little bit of attention off his outspoken, sometimes controversial girlfriend. He's been on quite a few magazine covers lately.
The Hollywood Reporter
Liam appeared on the February 10 cover of The Hollywood Reporter along with Josh Hutcherson, director Gary Ross, and Jennifer Lawrence. This cover has minimalist layout with its black ensembles and gray background. There's more emphasis on the "Hunger Games" (written in red text), rather than Liam himself.
On December December 1, 2011, Hemsworth appeared on the cover of Brazil's DM Magazine. With its bright purple and green layout, and clean-shaven Hemsworth, this cover was obviously designed to appeal to younger largely female readers.
On August 5, 2011, Liam and Hutcherson appeared on the cover of Entertainment Weekly. This is a much more nature-themed cover with its outdoorsy backdrop, and camouflage-colored ensembles. This one definitely has more of a "Survivor" feel.
Among the different covers, Details was my favorite. I like the balance of smooth simple elegance combined with his rugged manly quality.
