Is that really you, Kristen Stewart?
"Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" actress Kristen Stewart is completely unrecognizable on the September cover of W magazine - and we love it! The actress vamps it up with 60's-style hair and make-up - and she looks totally sexy! Not bad for a girl known (for better or worse) for her tomboy style.
"I have brothers, and that so-called boyish quality was something that I was deathly self-conscious about when I was younger. I was, like, No, I'm a girl. Actually, I'm still embarrassed to say that," The girl known as Bella Swan told W.
She also dished on the upcoming "Breaking Dawn."
"This was my first wedding. It was insane. And odd. The wedding dress experience was a huge deal. I tried on one version of the dress, and it was like tweak and tweak and alter and tweak and change, and then it's done. BFD dress. Huge deal," she said.
Stewart isn't the only celeb to change for a photo shoot.
Lady Gaga debuted her male alter-ego, Jo Calderone, earlier this year on the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan. The greasy, leather-clad Calderone is from Sicily and loves everything about cars.
Now, the Calderone is back on the cover of Gaga's new single, "You and I." Shot in Nebraska, the song details her relationship with her "cool Nebraska guy," Luc Carl.
"The [video is about the] idea that when you're away from someone you love, it's torture," she said. "I knew I wanted the video to be about me sprinting back and walking hundreds of thousands of miles to get him back."
Not sure what that has to do with a male alter-ego, but okay.
James Franco is known for taking on about eleven billion projects at a time, including a gender-bending photo shoot for Candy Magazine last fall. The magazine - described as "the first fashion magazine ever completely dedicated to celebrating transvestism, transexuality, cross dressing and androgyny, in all its manifestations" - put Franco on the cover in all his gender-bending glory.
However, Franco was quick to talk to The Advocate about his heterosexuality.
"Sure, I'd tell you if I was [gay]," he admitted. "I guess the reason I wouldn't is because I'd be worried that it would hurt my career. I suppose that's the reason one wouldn't do that, right? But no, that wouldn't be something that would deter me. I'm going to do projects that I want to do."
Franco went in drag again for the 2011 Oscars, but that wasn't all well received.
"I was so pissed about that I was deliberately going to fall onstage and hopefully my dress would fall off or something -- they couldn't blame that on me; I was in high heels," Franco told Playboy magazine.
"I just didn't want to fight anymore, even when they said, 'You'll come out as Marilyn Monroe. It'll be funny.' Me in drag is not funny," the NYU professor lamented.
