It's the end of the "Tardy for the Party" era.
Kim Zolciak, one of the original stars of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and one of the original breakout stars of the franchise, is leaving the series after this Sunday's episode (10/9c on Bravo). But the question is was it her choice to leave the successful reality series or are the producers to blame?
In an interview with In Touch, Zolciak confirms her exit but says she's going the Bethenny Frankel route and leaving to focus on her own Bravo spin-off. "It's going to be a fun, lighthearted show about our crazy everyday life," she tells the magazine. "My amazing husband is doing awesome in the NFL, we're building a home, we have a teenager, a tween and two babies."
However, Zolciak's now-former castmate and former BFF NeNe Leakes told a very different story on Twitter. "It's so funny how this chick wants people to think she quit the show! The producers no longer wanted to work with you! Good bye with the lies," she wrote on Nov. 23. Zolciak issued a lengthy, and equally fiery, response on Twitter soon after. "I definitely was NOT fired from RHOA I can guarantee u that!!! My spinoff last year was a one time thing so this spinoff is brand new! Bye hater!!!!"
