Katy Perry has been doing quite a bit of promotion for her new 3D documentary "Katy Perry: Part of Me," which hit theaters on July 5. From photocalls to premieres, she's been flaunting her frocks all over the globe. Her fashions aren't very consistent in terms of appeal - usually hit or miss - so what do you think of her most recent red carpet looks that she wore while promoting "Katy Perry: Part of Me"?
Rio De Janeiro premiere
The songstress went for a super-glam look at the July 30 Rio de Janeiro premiere when she stepped out in a shimmering metallic Dolce & Gabbana long-sleeve gown that was comprised of floral lace and was accented with a silver belt around her waist. She opted for dramatic makeup with black eyeliner and deep red lipstick. It would have been nice to see some flowing curls with the dress, but she went with a sleek chignon.
Rio de Janeiro photocall
While her ensemble for the premiere was a hit, her yellow short Versus dress she wore to the July 30 photocall in Rio de Janeiro was a miss. The short sleeve dress had sideways diamond cutouts down the center from the collarbone to her abdomen, but it would have looked much better without it. She paired the look with burgundy suede heels, why we have absolutely no idea, and wore her hair in a black bob.
The 27-year-old went for ballerina-chic at the July 4 premiere of "Katy Perry: Part of Me" in London. She wore a white sleeveless Marchesa dress that had a poofy tulle skirt and gold embroidery across the bodice. Her hair was pulled into an updo. The Jimmy Choo strappy heels looked absolutely fabulous with the dress. It was a beautiful look from head-to-toe and it suited her fun and girly style perfectly.
If you're wondering if "Katy Perry: Part of Me" is worth the hype, 16 out of 21 Yahoo users rated it three or four stars. Head over to IMDB, however, and it's a different story. It's currently rated a 4.2 out of 10 with 2 out of 5 stars.
Which is your favorite red carpet look?
