Katie Hopkins To Undergo Open Brain-Surgery Later This Year

Controversial Katie Hopkins has announced that she is set to undergo open surgery on her brain later on in the year, all in a bid to reduce the number of horrific seizures that she has as a result of her epilepsy.

The mum-of-three admitted in a candid new interview with Now magazine that the surgery is her biggest fear because, as with most operations on the brain, she will have to be awake.

Speaking to the mag, Katie explained: “Later in this year at some point I’ll probably have open-brain surgery to help with my epilepsy.

“It’s nocturnal so I only suffer at nights, in case people are wondering why I’m not fitting all over the place.

“During the surgery I have to talk and move my left hand and left leg while they’re operating - because where they go in [to the brain] is near those things. So that’s a fear, but it’s only a physical fear, so need to man up a bit.”

To be fair, babes, that seems like a pretty reasonable fear to us.

The outspoken reality star is known for being a little bit on the, ahem, outrageous side, but she also took the time to insist that her life isn’t as la-dee-da as people may think.

Katie added: “The are many risks with the surgery. Sometimes people imagine my life is like, ‘ta-dah!’, but everyone has their things and this is mine.

“That’s ok, though. It’ll be ok. Can you hear how many times I keep telling myself that it’ll be ok? It will be ok.

“I’m just scared of that moment when I’m talking, and I know my brain is exposed.

“It’s like: ‘F*ck!’”

Eloquent as always - Katie always did have a way with words, didn’t she?

Best of luck with the surgery, love - we’re sure that you’ll be fine.
