Justin Bieber's love of driving flashy cars really fast is getting the pop star into all sorts of trouble. The teen pop sensation may have to undergo counseling after an altercation concerning his dangerous driving. In addition, he's facing fines for speeding in Dubai.
Last March, one of Bieber's neighbors confronted him because he was concerned that the singer was driving his Ferrari too fast around their gated community.
The 19-year-old apparently wasn't happy about having his addiction to speed criticized -- he allegedly spit in the neighbor's face and screamed, "I'm going to f**king kill you!" The neighbor later told police that Bieber assaulted him by spraying it instead of just saying it, and he labeled the pop star a "punk."
Now TMZ is reporting that this little temper tantrum could get Justin in big trouble. The L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. investigated the case and sent the file to the L.A. County District Attorney on Tuesday and investigators are urging prosecutors to charge the singer with battery. But don't expect to see the Biebs trade his drop crotch pants for an orange prison jumpsuit anytime soon -- the investigators believe that "serious counseling" will do more good for the Biebs than jail time.
The investigators are allegedly worried that the "Baby" singer could "get his ass kicked" or that "someone's gonna get a $2 million payday" if he doesn't learn to control his temper. Bieber also flashed his ferocious side by attempting to attack a paparazzo back in March, and an incident like this might be the kind of potential payday that the investigators were referring to.
However, the crooner's love of driving fast needs to be dealt with. Bieber was two hours late for his concert in Dubai on Sunday and was rumored to be cruising the streets of the country in his white Lamborghini-- reportedly triggering a few speed cameras.
He racked up multiple speeding fines before being pulled over, but it's unlikely that giving up a small chunk of his millions will stop the mega-rich megastar from speeding since he seems to enjoy it so much. Last summer he was pulled over by a California Highway Patrol officer for speeding and reckless maneuvering, but his manager tried to downplay the dangerous driving by explaining that the pop star was being pursued by the paparazzi. Maybe Justin has a similar excuse for his latest unlawful behavior.
Obviously Justin needs to curb his need for speed before he ends up flying over a curb and hurting himself or someone else. Selena Gomez recently took the Biebs back after kicking him to the curb a few months ago, so maybe she'll help him clean up his act before the rebel without a cause goes the way of James Dean. Then again, Selena did recently admit to having a crush on Ryan Gosling, so perhaps Justin is trying to impress his girl by speeding around like Ryan's "Drive" character.
The Biebs has been the subject of Internet death hoaxes claiming that he was killed in a car accident, so you'd think that he'd slow down to ensure that his Beliebers are never devastated by true news of his demise. Hopefully his latest brushes with the law will convince him that it's time to put some of his money toward hiring a driver instead of using it to pay speeding tickets.
