Josh Brolin Ready To Bring The Wrath of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War

After his brief role in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and even briefer appearance in the end credits of ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron,’ Marvel fans are more than ready to see Josh Brolin’s Thanos in full-on cosmic super-villain mode.

And Brolin tells MTV News he’s just as eager to get in on the action with the upcoming two-parter ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ - though he’s not 100% sure when he’ll be showing up.

The actor says, “ I don’t know which one I’m in… That’s a Kevin Feige question. I know the trajectory of what they’re doing, but I don’t know exactly which one I’m in.”

Brolin also says he enjoys being associated with the much-loved Marvel character: “I love going into a comic book store and a guy connecting me with Thanos, and seeing the incredible regressive awe that happens. Like you see them lose 30 years in can’t-breathe awe.

“That’s fun, and I have a lot of respect for those fans. I’m excited about doing it, I really am.”

Asked which Avenger he was most looking forward to doing battle with, Brolin smartly replied, “I don’t have a favorite because it’s me against all of them. I think the entirety is what I’m most looking forward to. Each and every one. I’m bringing the wrath.”

Them’s fighting words alright - and just the attitude we want from the near-omnipotent fiend set to literally take on the universe.

Created by writer-artist Jim Starlin and introduced in a 1973 issue of ‘Iron Man,’ Thanos became the greatest threat the Marvel universe had ever seen in the epic Infinity Saga, which sees the Titan gain control of those pesky Infinity Stones which keep popping up in the MCU - not to mention a certain Infinity Gauntlet we’ve seen once or twice.

Just how closely ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ will follow that storyline remains to be seen, but it’s fair to say that, as epic as the MCU has been to date, we’ve hardly seen anything yet.

Still, those of us who grew up watching Brolin in ‘The Goonies’ will just want to hear Thanos tell the Avengers that he’s going to hit them so hard, when they wake up their clothes will be out of style…

‘Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1′ is due May 2018, with Part 2 coming the following year.
