Longtime friends Jack Black and Angelina Jolie reunited this week at the Cannes Film Festival to promote the release of their upcoming film, "Kung Fu Panda 2." The pair -- and frequent co-stars -- dished on everything regarding their lives and the upcoming film. Black even reminded Jolie of an unfortunate incident that happened when the pair debuted the first "Kung Fu Panda" at Cannes in 2008.
"You were preggers, and I spilled the beans," Black reminded Jolie of the interview where he spilled the beans. "And my wife, Tanya, was like, 'That is the most amazing maternity dress I've ever seen.' You had this gorgeous gown, and she was less preggers, but she had one on the way as well."
So what did Jolie do?
"And you're like, 'Oh, thanks.' And then, what do we get in the mail like the next week? That gown," Black said to Jolie. "You sent it over. It was one of the sweetest gifts of all time." Aww!
Both Black and Jolie are parents -- Jolie has six children and Black has two. Do the kids like the film that comes out on May 26?
"I brought all [my kids to the movie] - from 2 to almost 10," Jolie told Access Hollywood during a Cannes interview. "I was nervous at first. I didn't know if they were going to react to some of the issues - very personal family issues [like] adoption and inner peace -- and was it too heavy? Or was it too beautiful and not goofy enough?
Jolie and partner Brad Pitt have three adopted children.
"One of the questions [brought up in the film is about] being a family and how family is made, and adopted families as well," Jolie said. "And because it's such an open discussion in our house, it wasn't a new issue for them. They were just very proud to be more like Po and Tigress [Jack Black and Angelina's 'Kung Fu' characters], so it was, you know, somehow more familiar."
The tattooed Jolie even took the time to explain her additional coordinate tattoo on her upper arm. Jolie famously tattooed the names of where all of her children were born, so rumors were rampant after a seventh coordinate showed up a few months ago.
"Well, if they know that it's latitude and longitude they would have figured out quickly that it was Brad's birthplace," Jolie told Extra. "It doesn't take much investigation to figure that one out. [The coordinates are] Shawnee, Oklahoma."
Will the couple add to their six with another adopted child? Not anytime soon, she revealed.
