Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge has topped the Vanity Fair International Best-Dressed List for the second year in a row.
Known for her signature mixture of affordable brands and designer labels, the beloved future queen will be featured on the September 2012 cover along with runner-up Jessica Chastain. Catherine's brother-in-law Prince Harry also made the list, as did Colin Firth, Tom Brady, Jay-Z, and Diane Kruger.
According to the article, "Middleton is said to find the constant clothing changes required by her itinerary, sometimes up to five a day, to be rather stressful." They added that the Duchess "Continues to decline the services of a royal dresser, preferring instead to shop for herself."
Kate's well-deserved award comes after a week of back-to-back engagements, most of which involved the ongoing Olympics festivities and competitions. From charity events to athletic venues, here's a look at where the fashionable royal turned heads this week.
Olympic Equestrian Eventing - Cheering on Zara Phillips
Kate, William, and Harry were among the group of royals who gathered to support Zara Phillips, the daughter of Princess Anne, in her quest for an Olympic medal. Kate paired her navy blue Smythe jacket, which was first seen during her trip to Canada last year, with navy trousers, wedges, and a sleeveless Breton-striped sweater. During the event coverage, Kate was seen smiling adoringly at her husband, and the two seemed extremely happy and at ease together.
Creative Industries Reception - Royal Academy of Arts
On Monday, while William and Harry attended the men's gymnastics team final, Kate stepped out for charity to attend a reception at the Royal Academy of Arts. Wearing the lovely dove grey Roksanda Ilincic dress from her trip to the United States, the Duchess appeared effortlessly glamorous and happy. In a departure from her usual style, she pulled her hair into a sleek chignon and sported a pair of new (different!) nude LK Bennett heels.
Buckingham Palace Reception and Olympics Opening Ceremony
While Queen Elizabeth made an unforgettable entrance at the Opening Ceremony, Kate turned heads in an ice blue coatdress by Scottish-born, London-based designer Christopher Kane. Putting pesky pregnancy rumors to rest, the Duchess was photographed sipping a glass of champagne while chatting with guests. Later in the evening, William, Kate, and Harry were on-hand for the opening ceremony, where they cheered the British athletes as they entered the arena.
Torch Relay and Greenhouse Charity Visit
Last Thursday, Olympic ambassadors William, Kate, and Harry greeted the Olympic Torch outside of Buckingham Palace. All three wore official Team GB shirts, but Catherine also sported a pair of skin-tight, electric blue Zara jeans and sky-high Stuart Weitzman wedges. Earlier that day, the trio helped launch the new Greenhouse charity on the outskirts of London. There, Kate looked stunning in a $55 grey and white Hobbs dress, and she bravely played table tennis while wearing her Pied a Terre espadrille wedges.
