Dixie Chicks Singer Sells Austin Home

Former Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines and her “Agents of SHIELD” actor husband, Adrian Pasdar, have sold their longtime residence in the leafy and affluent Austin neighborhood of Pemberton Heights for $1.82 million.

Property records and other resources suggest the couple bought the clapboard-sided and margarine-colored Colonial-style farmhouse in late 2000 for an undisclosed amount. Listing details show the updated and expanded residence, which they first listed in September 2014 at $2.1 million, was originally built in the late 1930s, and measures in at 4,891 square feet, with four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. There are oversized living spaces, a cook’s kitchen, hardwood floors throughout and an original brick fireplace in the family room. Mature trees shade the grounds, which include gardens, lawns and a grotto-style swimming pool with spa, waterfall and integrated slide.

Our research shows the Pasdar-Maineses sold off a 3,700-square-foot condo in New York’s West Chelsea Gallery District four years ago for $4.34 million, but continue to own a contemporary residence with six bedrooms and as many bathrooms in L.A.’s casually posh Brentwood area, purchased in July 2007 for $5.6 million.
