The 17th season premiere of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" promises to pack a ton of star power, but we're not totally talking about what will be happening out on the dance floor. Instead, this season's lineup of cha cha-ready celebs could have their own A-list cheering sections, so some of the biggest stars could be out in the audience!
Actress Leah Remini told Access Hollywood that for her "Dancing" debut with pro partner Tony Dovolani, her supportive real life bestie will be in the audience. That'd be pop icon turned "American Idol" judge, Jennifer Lopez.
"She is [coming]," Remini told "Access Hollywood's" Shaun Robinson. "She was gonna come the first night and then I tried to talk her out of it -- and I'll tell you what she said after that -- and I was like, 'I'll see you Monday.'"
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne were fixtures in the "DWTS" audience when their daughter Kelly competed on the show back in Season 9, so we'd expect nothing less than the same level of support when their son, Jack Osbourne, competes this season.
Jack is in the capable hands of popular pro Cheryl Burke, but protective mom Sharon may still keep an extra watchful eye from the front row. The "View" co-host has expressed concerns over her son's participation on the show in light of his multiple sclerosis diagnosis, but Jack told omg! Insider that despite his mom's worries, "She's the one who told me to do it."
And will TV legend Valerie Harper get support from her own classic TV posse? The "Mary Tyler Moore Show" alum, who's remained tight with her co-stars from the 1970's sitcom over the years (the gang even reunited onscreen last week for an episode of "Hot in Cleveland"), could have a show of support from her close-knit circle of girlfriends, which includes Mary Tyler Moore and Betty White. It would also be a surprise if Cloris Leachman doesn't show up, especially since she's a "DWTS" alum (Leachman finished in 7th place on Season 7 of the show).
And while it will be a shocker if we get through the new "DWTS" season without some cameos from
Jersey Shore" alums (at the very least, Jenni "JWoww" Farley will surely be there to offer up a fist pump to Snooki, who's competing this season), one cast member from the raunchy MTV reality series who may not want to show up is Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino. The former "Jersey Shore" star recently blamed his past prescription pill addiction on an injury he received while competing on the 11th season of "Dancing With the Stars." Then again, there will be cameras panning the audience, so you never know…
The "Dancing With the Stars" season 17 cast will also feature Brant Daugherty, Christina Milian, Keyshawn Johnson, Bill Nye, Elizabeth Berkley, Corbin Bleu, Amber Riley, and Bill Engvall.
"Dancing With the Stars" season 17 premieres on Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
