Chris Brown should probably just stay in his house during Grammy Awards weekends. The singer was involved in a crash in Beverly Hills on Saturday afternoon while evading photographers, according to reports.
"Chris Brown was in a car accident this afternoon after being ruthlessly pursued by paparazzi," his rep told JustJared.com.
"The occupants jumped out, with cameras, and aggressively approached his vehicle. In an effort to remove himself from the situation, he began to back down an alley at which point his was cut off by two additional vehicles. Chris' vehicle was totaled due to this aggressive pursuit by the paparazzi. He is okay."
The crash comes exactly four years after he was arrested for beating girlfriend Rihanna during a fight inside his car. That arrest sparked a series of personal problems for Brown.
And it seems like a lot of those problems have happened recently.
Faked Community Service
As part of his plea deal for his Rihanna assault case, Brown was sentenced to 180 days of community service. The California judge allowed the singer to complete the work in his home state of Virginia - and his lawyer submitted a claim that he completed over 200 days.
The problem? The L.A. county district attorney alleges that he had "no credible, competent, or verifiable evidence" that Brown actually completed the work like he said.
The reason they think it's fake? He reported "picking up trash for 4 hours" on Mar. 15, 2012, but in reality he was on a plane to Cancun, Mexico.
Fight With Frank Ocean
It's a he said, he said situation: Critically-acclaimed singer Frank Ocean got into an altercation with Brown outside a Los Angeles recording studio on Jan. 27. According to reports, Brown punched Ocean over the spot, though Brown's camp insists he was the victim.
"Got jumped by Chris and a couple of guys...Cut my finger, now I can't play w/ two hands at the Grammys," the "Thinking About You" singer tweeted afterward.
Ultimately, Ocean declined to press charges against Brown.
"I'll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit," he wrote on Tumblr on Feb. 2. "Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace."
The question: Why did Brown allegedly get so aggressive with Ocean? It's odd, especially since Brown came out in support of the openly-bisexual singer in a 2012 tweet.
"My Opinion on the whole Frank Ocean subject is ......... Love who u wanna love. It's ur decision," Brown wrote in July 2012. "People stop searching for BS."
Tell us: Should Chris Brown be required to redo his community service?
