‘Captain America: Civil War’ Concept Art Shows Where Each Avenger’s Loyalties Lie

With buzz for “Captain America: Civil War” building after Marvel’s presentation at Disney’s D23 Expo, concept art for the superhero showdown has been unveiled, revealing where everyone’s loyalties lie in the battle between Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.).

Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye in the movie, posted the concept art on his Twitter account on Thursday morning, which clearly shows his character aligning himself with Evans’ Steve Rogers.

The art also reveals Ant-Man, played by Paul Rudd; Sharon Carter, aka Agent 13, played by Emily VanCamp; Falcon, played by Anthony Mackie; and Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier, played by Sebastian Stan, standing with Evans’ Captain America. The art also features the characters siding with Tony Stark, including Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson; Black Panther, played by Chadwick Boseman; War Machine, played by Don Cheadle; and the Vision, played by Paul Bettany.

A trailer for the film is expected sometime this fall, with “Civil War” scheduled for release on May 6, 2016.

The film is directed by the Russo Brothers, with William Hurt, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Martin Freeman, Frank Grillo and Daniel Bruhl also starring.
