It was just the other day we wrote about Britney Spears celebrating her big 3-0 and predicted that in 2012 she would marry her former agent and boyfriend of two years, Jason Trawick. Apparently our prediction has already come true as the just turned 40-year-old popped the big question on Thursday night during a romantic dinner. The pair were also celebrating his milestone birthday.
The pop star posted on Twitter: "OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo."
Trawick could be the one to make the saying, "third times a charm," come true, as this will be Britney's third marriage. Her first two weddings were quickies, so this time she may go for a more lavish ceremony.
In 2004, the former Mousketeer wed childhood friend Jason Alexander at the Little White Wedding Chapel on the strip in Las Vegas. Before the ink was dry, Spears was already seeking an annulment. Later that year, she married Kevin Federline in a secret ceremony in southern California in front of just a handful of friends and family. Federline is the father of her two sons. The couple divorced just two years later.
Let's hope for Spears and her two children, that Trawick is her one true love and the marriage will stand the test of time.
On Thanksgiving weekend, Anne Hathaway became engaged to her long-time boyfriend, Adam Shulman. The happy couple started dating in 2008, shortly after the 28-year-old actress went through a devastating break up with Raffaello Follier, the Italian real estate developer who plead guilty to fraud, money laundering and wire fraud. We're delighted the beautiful star who plays Catwoman so well seems to have found her match.
Lucky Elizabeth Hurley was the recipient of a dazzling 9-carat center blue sapphire and 2-carat diamond engagement ring in October. The Gossip Girls' bling is said to be worth an estimated $100,000. 42-year-old cricket player Shane Warne and the 46-year-old actress dated for ten months before he popped the question.
Looks like we'll have at least a few celebrity weddings to watch for in 2012!
