Bobby Brown is running out of second chances. The New Edition singer, 43, has been arrested yet again on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Brown was pulled over at around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, for driving erratically around Corbin Avenue and Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that officers smelled alcohol as they approached the star's vehicle, at which point they asked Brown to get out of his car and perform a field sobriety test. When he failed, he was taken into custody and booked at a nearby jail.
This is the singer's second DUI in 2012. He was previously charged with driving under the influence in March, just a little over a month after the death of his ex-wife Whitney Houston, who died Feb. 11 of an accidental drowning. (Brown and the beloved star were married from 1992 to 2007; they shared a daughter, Bobbi Kristina, 19.)
Following the arrest earlier this year, the singer struck a plea deal to avoid jail time and was sentenced to three years' probation. He also had to pay $390 and attend a 90-day alcohol education program.
For a brief while, it seemed Houston's ex was trying to turn over a new leaf. In August, after a honeymoon with new wife Alicia Etheredge, the newlywed Brown checked himself into a rehabilitation facility to begin his recovery. At the time, Etheredge told Us in a statement that he was "mentally in a good place."
